Definitely better than last week's show. No crazy third-grade title-belt-chasing storylines, an intriguing build to Tommy Dreamer's quest, a solid ECW non-title match, and no Ricky O. Can't beat that on a Tuesday night.

Swagger vs. Finlay was a good match, albeit quite slow and methodical. Perhaps a better ECW Title feud for Swagger would be against a smaller opponent who can speed things up to build tension, then have Swagger slow things down to bring the crowd down a level, before rebuilding the match action. A constant struggle at level six rather than "four to six to eight back to five and build up to seven before peaking at nine" isn't the most-intriguing match in the world, but it's very good for Swagger's early development as a WWE star.

Tommy Dreamer taking the loss to Burchill was injury. Miz & Morrison cutting an unanswered promo was insult, but it sets up the next chapter in Tommy's quest of whether it's fight or flight. Pack it up and go home or find that last ounce of fight in him before the June ECW PPV? It's nice to have a believable, compelling quest on the wrestling show because it's easy for fans to buy into the storyline and invest some emotions in the proceedings. Whereas something like Swagger looking around for his ECW Title belt has zero intrigue and diminishes the champ.

Dominick Mayer, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.5)

First of all, one major question. Where was DJ Gabriel tonight, especially since the ECW commercial that ran on Raw last night was featuring him and him alone? Anyway, much better show than last week's. The Burchill-Boogeyman match at least got a decent length (I'm speaking in WWE terms regarding that being a decent length, not real people terms) and the Miz/Morrison-Dreamer angle worked, because it served to further Dreamer as the lovable underdog being crapped on by life.

There are two reasons my score is so mediocre despite enjoying the show for the most part. The first is the ending to the Finlay-Swagger match. The first ten minutes were excellent, with Finlay going move-for-move in a shoot style with Swagger, who has proper training in such a style. Then, the match turned into a typical Finlay match, with Hornswoggle and weaponry aiding Finlay in a win. If they were going to have Swagger lose his first match, I really wish it would've been a clean finish. My biggest gripe, however, is with the continuing issues with the amount of time spent on recaps. The entire third quarter hour, save for a brief interview with Swagger, was spent on recaps of Raw and Wrestlemania hype, along with commercials. When an entire fourth of a one-hour show has no content that serves to further a storyline, that's just unacceptable.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.5)

Really, really good show this week. Probably the peak of what ECW can put on at this point. The show started off on the right foot in giving Paul Burchill a significant win finally, even though the post-match focused on Tommy Dreamer. I don't know if he's going to lose all the time before pulling out a big win and getting on a roll or what, but boy did Miz & Morrison do a number on him physically and verbally. Great job by the heels and it'll get more people behind Tommy.

Good to see Jamie Noble on ECW as he was being wasted on Raw. Although I don't know if you'd call losing to the Boogeyman a step-up, but at least he's getting TV time now. Hopefully he can be a good in-ring contributor to the show. Jack Swagger vs. Finlay was a fine match and I liked the story it told, with Finlay trying to go move-for-move with Swagger for a while, instead of just brawling. The Hornswoggle interference protects Swagger a bit but the win gives Finlay some credibility in the title chase.
