James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (4.5)

This week's show just did not feel like a thumbs up show despite a very good six-man tag match featuring six of the top young stars on the entire WWE roster. Evan Bourne continues to shine, Tyson Kidd is solid, Primo is on the verge of a break-out run, and Miz & Morrison are always great working together. But, the show lacked punch.

The main event was not explained well, as I was under the impression the fatal four-way results would be determined on this week's show. Ya know, allow for some actual build-up to an ECW Title match on PPV. Instead, we'll know the #1 contender the week before Backlash in typical WWE fashion. ECW could really use some backstage promos to explain happenings and matches, or at least give us some insight into characters on the show. Apparently multiple video packages are here to stay, though.

Tiffany as new ECW GM is eh. Teddy Long returning to Smackdown to re-hash old storylines is eh. Josh Mathews and Matt Striker was super eh. Mathews sounded completely watered-down compared to his awesomeness calling Velocity. There was just no chemistry between him and Striker. Very disappointing to see Grisham and Striker split apart. Perhaps they will be re-united after the Draft and after the Smackdown announcing position is figured out.

Dominick Mayer, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

Back to business after last week's hour-long clip reel. It's a shame that the feud ECW put three weeks into pushing was a dark match. But hey, Kid Rock is relevant again! Wait...

Anyway, excellent six-man tag match. I think the talent that was in that ring should really speak to the next wave of WWE stars. However, most likely they'll all get moved to Raw and Smackdown to be eaten by the five main-eventers who were the dullest part of Mania this year. Wouldn't be surprised if Bourne and Kidd both go to Raw, though.

Meanwhile, the focus is back on the ECW Title after it not even appearing at Mania. I like this race to Backlash angle they're working, though I'm curious to see who goes through. I would say Christian, but Vince doesn't like him, but it seems too early for Dreamer to go. I don't want it to be Finlay, at all really, but he's my pick as of now to go.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.5)

Hey, a newsworthy edition of ECW? It's hard for them to make the ECW Title mean something when it's left off the biggest show of the year yet defended on all other PPVs. Tiffany as GM could be interesting and her mic work was surprisingly good this week. Teddy Long going back to Smackdown may not freshen things up exactly, but he'll have some new faces to deal with there. He's the perfect figurehead GM.

The six-man tag was good, as expected, but I'm surprised the heels took the loss as Miz & Morrison haven't been on the winning side lately (unless they're planning on working that into their break-up). I was surprised Henry was the one to get pinned in the main event, leaving three faces left. Dreamer and Finlay aren't exactly guys to get excited about (unless you're behind Tommy and his "quest" for the ECW Title that is hardly mentioned anymore), leaving only Christian. ECW could use some fresh faces come Draft time.
