Nothing remarkable on this show. Nice to see a different opening segment instead of the MEM opening every show. People will either hate or love the Mick Foley vignettes, but Foley is the most over act in the company right now and we are going to see lots of Foley on each show. Ratings for Impact have improved since Foley came to TNA and until that changes, expect more of the same.

I enjoyed the opening tag match, as always they weren't given enough time, but I do enjoy the fact TNA is starting to emphasize the tag team division more. Why in the world would Team 3-D put up $100,000 of their own money for an invitational tournament? How can Jethro Holliday and Eric Young be invited to the tournament if they have never teamed before? Little lapses of logic and holes in the booking should be cleaned up for a taped show.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.5)

Not a bad show this week. The Foley vignettes, as I wrote last night in my blog in the VIP Forum, got across Mick's everyman personality and were quite amusing. Also, they showed the importance of the TNA Title, as Mick carried it with him everywhere he went this past week. I still don't think he should have the title, but the first week of him as champion was pretty well done.

Bobby Lashley made his first Impact appearance and came across....well, bland. Big surprise there. There was no emotion on his face when he walked out, just a blank stare. What are we supposed to think he's thinking or feeling? He looked like a robot out there. And why was Jeff Jarrett holding his head in his hands? Does he know something about Lashley here in TNA that we don't? He hasn't done anything yet to make Jarrett upset, I wouldn't think. Unless he thinks Lashley is here as part of the Mafia.

The matches on the show were a little below-average. Jarrett vs. Steiner was the type of garbage brawl with the kinds of weapons I thought were left behind in the Attitude Era. I like the tag tournament idea and the emphasis on that division, but the Holliday/Young vs. Team No Limit match wasn't too good. Styles vs. Nash was fine, but Nash is so limited in the ring. Still, the show seemed more focused this week and didn't try to stuff too many people onto the show as they are wont to do.

Curtis Shanks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

The thing I like about TNA is how the main cast is constantly revolving. Sure, you could say the show has been focused on the Originals vs. the Mafia for months now, but the focus is shifted nicely every few weeks so we don't tire of the same individuals to dominate the show every week. Sting, Foley, Angle, Jarrett, Styles, Daniels and others are given the lime light on a routine basis, but not every single week. In WWE we know which couple of guys we're getting in the show closing segment each and every week, but the focus shifts in TNA all while staying within the same Mafia vs. originals story arc.

I like the idea of the 3D tag title tournament. It's a good way to give us a couple of competitive matches each show and showcase current talent, new talent, and talent from outside of the organization (if they decide to go that route). It's a good way to give 3D a month of from competing in a match, but it is also good in the fact that it adds some importance to TNA's tag title belts. The Knockout division has been getting stale. I'm an not the least bit excited for an Love vs. Bolt title match down the road. TNA may be trying to change it up a bit and give the division new life as it looks as though TNA is trying to play Kong off as a babyface. It has been booked that way as of late, but it could be another instance of TNA's shades of gray, cross the line approach to their characters.

I still don't really know how I feel about the Foley videos we received tonight of him interacting with the general public after his title win. They were amusing and weren't painful to watch at all, but I have to wonder what they accomplish. Foley has snapped and in the 'tweener role now as champion, but Foley came off as generally likable during the videos.

Daniel Wilkenfeld, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.0)

This was not a great show. All of it focused pretty exclusively on Jarrett-Foley, despite the crowd's (and my own) complete and total apathy for Jeff Jarrett's recent odyssey. There was nothing horrible, but nothing worth going out of your way to watch either.

Since last night I've both isolated the problem a bit and mellowed some on the show. A problem: No LAX, Suicide, or MCMG. Though maybe they were just sore from Lockdown, or overworked (in the case of Daniels). In any event, I'm feeling a bit better about the show, but not much.
