TORCH ECW TV MVP POLL ANALYSIS: Who was the MVP of the 5/26 edition of ECW TV? After last night's ECW TV episode, we asked Torch readers to select the MVP of the show for who performed the best on the broadcast. Not surprisingly, it came down to Christian and Tommy Dreamer for the top two vote-getters.

Christian won this week's vote with 24 percent of the vote, followed by Dreamer with 20 percent. Typically, the weekly MVP vote is contested by the wrestlers with the most TV time. Both Christian and Dreamer were involved in three segments on the show, implanting them in the minds of Torch readers.

I'm sure Dreamer's weird, uncanny, peculiar, and puzzling struts in the ring during the opening segment contributed to him receiving one out of every five MVP votes. I don't think I've seen a wrestler celebrate inclusion in a triple threat match quite that way before.

Meanwhile, Jack Swagger fell out of the Top Five for the first time in the five weeks we've run an ECW TV poll. He was in multiple segments, but played a whiny crybaby in the first segment and was secondary to the "Hart Dynasty" in the main event six-man tag match.

Speaking of the HD, Natalya took third place in this week's Raw MVP poll. Her official introduction of the new faction obviously made a memorable impression on Torch readers. Or, they just thought she looked good in pink and black, as opposed to D.H. Smith who didn't look good in pink kneepads and black trunks.

Rounding out the Top Five were the returning Evan Bourne and Kozlov's punching bags, Taylor & Munos. ECW really only has a few stars on the show worthy of MVP votes, so I try to include an "ironic voting option" on the ECW poll.

Russ Taylor & Joey Munos were booked as enhancement talent to Kozlov, so they no business being on anyone's MVP ballot, but in the spirit of being rebelliously ironic, 9 percent of Torch readers who voted in the poll picked them.

Probably the same readers who picked Kozlov's punching bag for MVP on the May 12 episode when Kozlov fought mightily against a punching bag in his training video packages. Unfortunately for Russ & Joey, the punching bag scored 12 percent of the MVP vote on May 12, topping the enhancement talent by 3 percent.

Poll Results as of 6:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday
Top Five
(1) Christian ... 24%
(2) Tommy Dreamer ... 20%
(3) Natalya ... 11%
(4t) Evan Bourne ... 9%
(4t) Russ Taylor & Joey Munos ... 9%
