Superstars this week wasn't great but it was a little bit better than I thought it would be after reading the non-spoiler preview. I was kind of surprised that The Brian Kendrick had to take the loss to Hornswoggle. I understand that he's looking for "The partner" still, but c'mon. I will say this though, at least they didn't waste air time on Hornswoggle and Goldust on Raw this week.
As far as the ECW portion went this week, it was solid on all points. The in-ring stuff was good and Christian came across as focused during his commentary and was surprisingly all business. This was a side of Christian that many aren't used to seeing as he usually is more laid back and comical; so this was a nice change (although I hope it's not a total change in character, maybe just a "tweak", as our TNA Champ would say). David Hart Smith looked good again and I liked the finish with Christian accidentally distracting the ref to cost Tommy Dreamer the match. It keeps up the tension between these two going into Extreme Rules.
The main event was the best part of the show this week as I figured it probably would be. Smackdown has consistently been the best show for some time now and matches like this show why. Chris Jericho's promo before the match also helped put the actual show over more than anything when he called "Superstars" his show because he is the biggest superstar in the world. He continues to be gold on the mic and last night was no exception. I liked the mix of main event and mid-card guys, as far as the match goes. All gpit of them were solid in the ring. WWE has had some decent tag matches in recent weeks, even with guys that aren't going to be permanently teamed up. Too bad this won't remind Vince that fans do still have an interest in tag team wrestling.
Overall, my rating probably would have been a half point to 1 point higher if the Raw portion had been a little better. Obviously, the show was not a thumbs down and as I said in the intro, it was a little better than I thought.

This was a good episode of Superstars. The start of the show was OK. There is some comedy potential with Guldust & Hornswoggle and their tag team match against The Brian Kendrick and Jamie Noble was fine. It had some fun moments. The John Cena-Big Show video was solid. David Hart Smith vs. Tommy Dreamer was OK, but Christian really added with some good guest commentary. However, I didn't like the ending. Dreamer has been booked to look like a credible Title contender recently, but this made him look weak. I would not have had him job at all, and if I were to, I would have had Tyson Kid do something to him other than just kick him. That shouldn't have finished him off. So, that was disappointing.
The best part of the show was clearly the last few segments, starting with the great promo from Chris Jericho. He continues to be the best promo man in WWE right now. He has a way of getting under the skin of the fans, and he makes them all want to see Rey Mysterio get his revenge at Extreme Rules. His tag match with Dolph Ziggler against Jeff Hardy and R-Truth was excellent. It was very interesting to see mid carders like Ziggler and Truth teaming with upper carders like Jericho and Hardy. It was a very well booked match with plenty of high energy and high flying wrestling action. Truth's dive onto Jericho at the end was great and very memorable. The match had the right ending with Hardy pinning Ziggler.

When I figured out that Hornswoggle and Goldust were teaming against The Brian Kendrick and a partner, I just KNEW it would be Jamie Noble. Gotta put Horny over the other small guys. I don't mind the Horny-Goldust team, but enough with Tourette's Goldust already.
The ECW match was good and I didn't mind the finish. Dreamer went over strong on Tuesday night, so him losing here to a much younger, faster, stronger and in-better-shape David Hart Smith made sense and it put Smith over strong, something WWE hasn't been willing to do with its younger batch of superstars. Speaking of which, I liked the rub R-Truth and Dolph Ziggler got by being mixed in with Jeff Hardy and Jericho. They held up their end of the tag match as well.
