I'm a little confused (again) with Mick Foley's character. I can't tell if he's crazy and he really was thinking that the picture of him and Jeremy Borash was the most important thing in the office, or if he was just being sarcastic. He's been portrayed as both, so it's hard to say. They keep waffling on his character, so it's hard to keep track. Speaking of Foley, Vince Russo makes it so easy to make fun of his booking style that it's almost not worth it anymore. "Keys on a pole?" Come on.

I know the bookers want to get heat on the Main Event Mafia by booking them in matches against guys who have no chance at winning, and we're supposed to say, "oh, those MEM guys, always running from challenges." But instead, the heat is with the writers for booking these stupid matches. Nash vs. Red? Tag Champs vs. Rocco and Sally Boy? That's supposed to draw viewers?

Taz's opening promo was fine, and it was nice to see he didn't bury WWE. That's smart. But I thought having an advisor would prevent Joe from those stupid "attacking the ref and costing himself the match" stuff. Good to see LAX back. I'd complain about them having Sharmell and Jenna in the ring together with no follow-up, but then again....I'm sorta glad they just forgot about that. The Knockouts Battle Royal made sense from the Mafia's perspective.

It's hard to tell exactly what has happened with the whole "Jarrett's taking personal time off" saga we've been reading about. Some are saying that Jarrett is not only off of TV for now, but are speculating he may be out as a booker as well. I know TNA books their storylines far in advance, but if tonight's show is an indication of what a Jarrett-less show looks like, then I say hurry back Jeff. TNA has long suffered through some booking inconsistencies, but they were magnified tonight. Most times I would be exited for three title matches on one show, but not a single one of them resembled a competitive match. I'm tired of seeing "stuff on a pole" matches, and the keys to Foley's office we're not much to entice the viewer into seeing who the winner was. And this was our main event folks.

TNA has long been hit or miss, but never predictable. Unfortunately they were quite predictable this evening. Lashley turning on the Mafia to end the show could be seen a mile away. Eric Young turning on his fellow originals in the ten-man tag was almost as predictable. Angle vs. Foley with a clean finish? I knew half the roster would make a run-in. To try and look at some positives, Tracy Brooks could be a very nice addition to the Mafia, the Foley/Angle promo was done very well, and Don West was good for some laughs as usual. A sub-par PPV followed up by a sub-par Impact is hopefully just a slump that will soon end rather than an indication of where things are headed in the future.

Daniel Wilkenfeld, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.0)

This show continued the trend from Victory Road of having a whole lot of blah, without any real high highs or low lows. They did try for a few spots—like the EY heel turn and Bobby Lashley face turn, but both were telegraphed a mile away. The Traci Brooks win was the only bit of genuinely surprising booking of the night, and it wasn't all that important. The matches themselves peaked at bland. This sort of show is more acceptable in a weekly network broadcast than it was in a PPV…but not much more. I also dock it a mark for the fact that a Blank on a Pole Match ended in a DQ. I can't wait for them to end a ladder match that way.
