Christian vs. Zack Ryder was a great TV match. Everyone knew Christian was taking the win, but Ryder came out of the match better than when he went into the match. Ryder is a future star on the brand (until he inevitably gets moved to Raw or Smackdown), so he stands to benefit from being in these main event matches with WWE investing nearly 20 minutes on him this week. Matt Striker also deserves credit for enhancing his character on commentary.

I missed Yoshi Tatsu this week. Maybe I missed his music. Either way, it was puzzling why he wasn't on the show even if he will be on Superstars this week. They could have at least snuck in a video package at some point during the show to draw attention to him because he's a hot new talent for ECW. On the other hand, I did not miss Abraham Washington not being on the show. Nor did I miss his music.

Tyler Reks and Sheamus will need time to connect with the audience. WWE is presenting both Reks and Sheamus as one-dimensional characters based on their "ethnicity." Reks being a surfer-dude from California and Sheamus being a tough-guy from Ireland. The audience needs more to work with. Patience is a virtue dealing with the ECW brand right now.

Dominick Mayer, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

I won't lie when I say that this week's score went up a point from last week's just because of the lack of another Abraham Washington Show bit. Hopefully, WWE has finally smelled what's burning and abandoned that particular ship. Meanwhile, the glut of pushes goes on. Though there was no Yoshi Tatsu this week, Tyler Reks looked good and Sheamus moved up to lower card staff talent with a nice win over Goldust. Still not enthused with a Zeke-Kozlov feud, but they're building it well thus far.

The big story of the night was Zach Ryder entering the main event picture, at least temporarily. I can see, depending on how next week's match goes, a Christian-Ryder match at Summerslam if they're really ready to go that far with a newly repackaged talent. I don't know what other options they have with three weeks of promotion left, so I'd be very much in favor of it, as last night's match was well done and I feel like with another month and a feud with a veteran like Christian, Ryder's stock could really go up.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

Not a whole lot to the show, other than the main event, and with it, the announcement of Tommy Dreamer's re-match for the ECW Championship next week. Christian and Zack Ryder put together a fine match, but the finish was never really in doubt. I think Ryder could follow a path similar to Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston, in that he soon finds himself being promoted to another brand, but maybe after a short main-event stay on ECW. He's got the size WWE likes too.

Sheamus vs. Goldust was not aesthetically pleasing, and I thought it was a bit early to move Sheamus up to the lower-card guys. But I guess they didn't want two squash matches on the show in one week. And how about the crowd with actual "Goldust" chants? Vladimir Kozlov squashing a jobber, then Zeke Jackson doing the same is a follow-up from last week that makes sense. Reks vs. Burchill was another forgettable match, but I thought they'd even the series at one with Burchill getting a win. I was wrong.
