Giving Superstars a 9.0 is a little different than giving Raw the same score. For Raw, it would mean one of the best TV wrestling episodes in recent memory. For Superstars, it means putting together good showcase matches for each brand, not much filler, developing characters, and having at least one stand-out, buzz-worthy match on the show.

John Morrison vs. Tyson Kidd delivered the buzz in the first of two nights Morrison delivered the goods in the ring. Morrison vs. Kidd had that "please don't let this match end" feeling. WWE delivered that same feeling in the recent Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho series, so it was nice to experience that again. Hopefully WWE keeps building up Kidd and doesn't led him slide back to just being a lower tier heel on Smackdown as part of a mid-card tag team. Kidd is fun to watch (and listen to) in the ring.

WWE champion Randy Orton had a "feel good" victory over Primo on the show. Orton just needed a win after taking weekly beatings and bruisings on the Raw brand every Monday night. WWE has booked him like a lame-duck champ for weeks, so it was nice just to see him score a win in a match without shenanigans from DiBiase and Rhodes. Primo had a very nice showing himself. I don't think he lost anything by taking a clean pin after scoring two close near-falls in the match. ... Yoshi Tatsu vs. William Regal is tied at one victory apiece in their mini-feud. Fine program going.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.5)

This was a good episode of Superstars. It started off with the best part of the show, Tyson Kidd vs. John Morrison. This was a very good match. I had some issue with the timing of the match. Morrison was booked to have a lot of trouble defeating Kidd, who really hasn't had a lot of singles wins, nor tag team wins since being moved to Smackdown. Morrison could have looked stronger the night before getting his first ever World Title shot. However, that made for a much more exciting match. So, this is a case where the overall quality of the match outweighed the distraction of the timing issue.

The middle of the show was all solid. None of it was that good, but none of it was that bad either. There was Yoshi Tatsu vs. William Regal in a solid, but short match. There was the Ask the Divas segment, which I'm not a fan of, but at least it was on Superstars this week instead of ECW like last week. There was a good Montel Vontavious Porter video. I still get tired of the Raw Rebound, which is probably my biggest complaint about Superstars.

The show ended with the good match between Randy Orton and Primo. It was nice to see Orton in a match like this as we don't often see it. He was able to show his dominance over Primo, while giving Primo enough offense to get the fans excited about a possible upset, while not hurting Orton's credibility. So, it was well done.

What a week for John Morrison; two three-star plus matches shown two days in a row. Of course, credit also goes to his opponents, and on Superstars, it was Tyson Kidd. Kudos to whomever booked this match, as the two don't have a storyline reason for fighting, yet it's obvious someone thought it'd be a solid match, which it was. Tatsu vs. Regal was acceptable as their feud continues. Having Regal work with the younger wrestlers is a smart move.

Remember when they used to have a Smackdown Rebound? Only having a Raw Rebound makes it clear that show is the number one brand when you only need to remind viewers of what happened on that show. Primo vs. Orton was an odd choice for a match, but Orton got a good victory to get some momentum and Primo stood out in being matched with a main-eventer. I've really been impressed with him since his debut.
