James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (7.0)

This was a nice hour of TV starting with a one-star TV match, building to a one-and-a-half star tag match, and ending with a solid two-star TV main event. The finish to the main event of Jack Swagger vs. MVP was telegraphed early and often, but the match featured several nice exchanges and counters to give viewers a sense that MVP would actually win the match despite having 85 percent of the offense. At the end of the day, Swagger won to get his music on the way out, but MVP had all the offense to retain credibility. They have good chemistry in the ring working together. Nice match.

Hart Dynasty vs. Yang & Slam Master J was better on TV than in-person at the TV tapings. Something about the tight camera shots eliminating down-time and focusing on the fast-pace in the ring enhanced the overall presentation. Natalya's bodyslam on Yang ringside got a legit pop from the audience live at the taping and it was good to see them replay that moment on TV. I tell ya, if WWE re-started the Cruiserweight Division, I would put Natalya in there and let her go to work with the boys. LeBron James says there won't be a woman in the NBA the next decade, but after Chyna held the IC Title ten years ago, Natalya at the top of the CW Division would be a nice feather in WWE's cap to have a marketability edge over the NBA.

I saw the opener of Finlay vs. Dolph Ziggler in-person at the TV taping, so I wasn't too thrilled watching it a second time. I didn't get a sense there was much chemistry there. The lines Matt Striker was being fed on commentary basically glorifying chair shots to the head was absurd and highly questionable. Head trauma will be the issue of the next decade. In ten years, people listening to a tape of this match will have to pick their jaws off the floor hearing the flippant approach WWE is taking in the name of selling the TLC PPV on Sunday.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.0)

This episode of Superstars was just average. The first two matches were average. Dolph Ziggler vs. Finlay was solid. It went a good length but wasn't particularly good. It wasn't bad either. It had some nice moments, but was slow at times which added up to a decent match. The Hart Dynasty vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Slam Master J was also just OK. It had more energy and some nice high flying offense, but it was too short to amount to much. The videos were all fine. The one thing that really bothered me leading to the main event was the focus on Jack Swagger's lisp. Hearing Montel Vontavious Porter make fun of it and then later Swagger have to defend it wasn't fun. It isn't necessary. Making fun of someone's speech impediment shouldn't make you a babyface. I also didn't like the fact that this week's show didn't feature an ECW match. That was disappointing.

When you take into account two disappointments and two decent matches, going into the main event this was looking like it was going to be a negative review. Luckily, MVP and Swagger delivered a good match to bring my score up to the 5.0. I really liked this match. These two work well together and were actually given more than twice the time to wrestle than any match on Raw this week. The final few minutes were particularly strong with the good series of counters and near-falls.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

Dolph Ziggler vs. Finlay was a fine opener, and it was good that Ziggler picked up the win. I wish they would've replaced this with an ECW match; not a great fan of them leaving that brand off here. The Smackdown tag match was good though; I liked Tyson Kidd's finisher and Yang and Slam Master J could form a good mid-card tag team. At least it wasn't the Harts against Cryme Tyme again.

Swagger vs. MVP was a fine main event, and again, happy to see Swagger get the win. Not so happy to see them focus on Swagger's lisp. As if it wasn't obvious before, clearly he's fallen out of favor with management for whatever reason. But if WWE is gearing their programming toward young kids, how are kids with lisps supposed to feel when Swagger is made fun of for having a lisp?
