Better show this week than it has been. It's amazing to me how something as simple as this tournament has given this show the most direction it's had in some time. I'm not thrilled with Jack Swagger losing, as this would've been a good showcase, but at least it was to Yoshi Tatsu, who's been receiving a steady and committed push.

Vance Archer's match was just kind of there, though I guess he needed the push more than Goldust did. He still isn't doing anything for me outside of his cool finisher. One other note on a Swagger-centric show: WHY is it almost 2010 and we're still harassing him for his speech impediment? It's bad enough he's been buried on Raw, but now we have to cut him down on ECW too?

Shane McKinley, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.5)

ECW was the Jack Swagger show and like a car with shot brakes, Swagger needed a tune up. Standout of the night to me was Jack Swagger on the mic, especially his interaction with ECW GM Tiffany and The Hurricane (Swagger's double look = gold). Sadly Swag's match with Yoshi Tatsu was one long rest hold with Swag eating a loss to the Japanese Game Show Music guy. It looked like the type of match where two guys were more concerned with not angering management in the back than entertaining the fans and putting on a good match. Hopefully other former ECW stars can come onto the show and shine a bit in this "ECW Homecoming" deal.

Could Tommy Dreamer's final match in WWE be the one where Rosa Mendes sadly goes "Woo woo woo" at ringside? Could the final image of Dreamer in the ring be him ripping off his t-shirt? It could be. I wish that the tag team of Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft would rip off from the show "Jersey Shore" and be stereotypical Jersey wise guys instead of video game dopes. I'm not sure if the Abe show is really effective in getting the ECW young pups' characters over, but you gotta start somewhere.

Vance "club to the back" Archer looks and smells generic. Lastly,
kudos to Yoshi saying "Jackass" on WWE programming. Overall I feltthat the ECW righted the ship after they veered off into God-knows-where weeks ago.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

Props to Jack Swagger and Yoshi Tatsu for putting on a very good main event. Swagger seems to have lost some weight and looks more cut, so hopefully that's a sign to management that he's ready for that next step. Would've preferred to see him get the win, but oh well. Vance Archer looked OK against Goldust, but I doubt Goldust will do with Archer what he did with Sheamus. Bad camera work showed Archer loosely holding Goldust in his finisher before hitting it.

I hope WWE signs the Briscoes to give Croft & Baretta someone to wrestle on ECW. They didn't get much personality across in the Abraham Washington show. Good to see Zack Ryder pick up a much-needed win against Tommy Dreamer. I still think Dreamer has some value on ECW, but it looks like he'll be out the door soon anyway.
