Shane McKinley, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.5)

Not match happening tonight, ladies and gentlemen. Although this was a better paced soap opera, you could have easily skipped this one. You know the predictable Impact staples by now: A.J. Styles still doesn't quite get over as a heel champion (especially with plugging a damn baseball videogame. Negative points!), Abyss shrieks and looks at his Hogan ring, some Foley comedy that doesn't go anywhere, Jarrett in sad jobs under the order of Bischoff, and so forth. Wrestling action? Pretty forgettable. Perhaps two unappealing Jarrett matches will do that.

There are feuds (Beautiful People, Beer Money vs. Morgan-Hernedez, Nash-Young vs. The Band, Rob Terry, etc.) but with the exception of Angle-Anderson (which brought really no real developments to speak of), these feuds are trivial, run-of-the-mill stuff with no real fire in them. The major attention tonight was about Hulk Hogan coming back to the ring March 8 to hopefully not break his hip. TNA put it in cruise control for this one.

Greg Parks, Torch Columnist (5.0)

The Jeff Jarrett deal....I get what they're doing, or what they're trying to do. I just don't know if it will be successful. I think this can drum up more support for Double J, but we'll see. The tag match win for Beer Money was fine, and hopefully they have something in mind for this duo. Everybody sucking up to Hogan and trying to talk him out of a match was kind-of grating after a while. Mick Foley's skits were pretty funny, though it's unlikely anyone but Foley could've pulled'em off.

The main event was OK. The finish made sense in the fact that you didn't want anyone to lose there. Anderson as Angle was something that probably sounded good on paper, but was only so-so in execution. Anderson is so good on the mic, he shouldn't have to stoop to doing impressions to get over as a heel. The fact that Kevin Nash and Eric Young confronting The Band is one of two things being hyped for the Monday night show just shows how out-of-whack the priorities are in TNA.

Daniel Wilkenfeld, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.5)

This show had a few distinct positives. First, there were no Nasty Boys. Anderson—Angle progressed nicely, as did Love—Sky, though the latter might have gotten more time than it really merited. The main event was decent — I don't remember TNA busting out the referee's decision thing too often (I'm not counting what seemed to be a botched finish of Joe vs. Lashley at Bound for Glory), so that was a good way to further AJ's feud with The Pope without giving us a complete screw-job ending. Even that was a bit tainted though by the fact that we were given essentially no indication of what was transpiring with the other two competitors while AJ held Pope in a long Figure Four, and by the fact that half the match took place during commercial.

Finally, the Jarrett and Foley segments were more entertaining than they had any business being. Nevertheless, this show never really got any momentum going. There seemed to be an oddly large number of recap packages, a continued complete disrespect for the X Division Champion (though, in all fairness, that was probably mitigated by the fact that half the audience has probably forgotten that Doug Williams is the X Division Champion), and, most problematically, all Hogan, all the time. Maybe the attempts to sell the audience on the drama revolving around Hogan's return to the ring clicked with others, but for me they just fell flat. I don't care—in fact, I would actively prefer he not be an active competitor. Moreover, I don't totally get his motivation here; contrary to what he said, AJ and Flair didn't call him out — he first through in his name as a possible combatant himself.
