-- I'm glad C.M. Punk's opening promo switched gears a bit from ragging on fans for their vices to wanting to destroy Jeff Hardy. His promos are good and I like him as a heel, but it felt like for the last few weeks he's been saying the same thing over and over again in his promos. It's amazing how much more effective Smackdown's opening promos are, as opposed to Raw's.

Finlay vs. Dolph Ziggler didn't feature a lot of the traditional "slow it down" offense we're used to from Fit, which was good. It was also another solid win for Ziggler heading into Summerslam.

-- It looks like they're going to do something with Mike Knox again, which is a positive. I'm a fan of his, and I hope they can really get his character through to the fans with his mic work, which he doesn't have a lot of experience with.

-- I guess, while the Kane backstage stuff was not entertaining in the least, it was newsworthy, revealing that Singh and Khali are brothers. Still not sure what that means for the feud or their relationship though.

-- John Morrison vs. C.M. Punk: I could watch that match every week. Neither are at the point in their careers where they simply re-hash moves match after match; rather, they seem to incorporate new ones. That's the advantage of having young, hungry guys climbing up the ladder.

-- While Layla held her own against Melina, she still has a ways to go to become what I'd call "competent" in the ring.

-- Big Show over JTG was probably the right move; I don't think it lessens JTG's win over Jericho last week, because fans are conditioned to expect bigger wrestlers to beat smaller wrestlers.

-- The Hart Dynasty got some nice rub in the main event working with Jeff Hardy and even getting the win. It was surprising, considering how many times Triple H and John Cena have been booked to blow through two-on-one matches. I'm not so hot on Matt's apparent turn back to face though; I hope they have a good explanation for it.

-- Overall, another solid show from the Friday night crew. Should be interesting to see how the dynamic changes once Jeff Hardy is gone.
