SUPERSTARS HITS

Miz vs. Santino: I was not entertained by Superstars last week. This week was much better starting with this entertaining and amusing match between The Miz and Santino Marella. Santino is so great with his character, acting humbly towards the crowds chanting his name. I loved at the start of the match when the cobra made an early appearance, only to be quieted down by Santino (not sure how else to describe it). What worked about this match is that Miz was able to dominate, get a good strong win, and show off his in ring ability, while Santino got in enough of his comedy and his own offense to please his fans. It had a very good balance.

Truth vs. Ziggler: Dolph Ziggler seemed to be on the fast track about a month ago, but now his momentum has slowed way down. It happens in WWE. And, not everyone can be getting huge pushes at the same time. Right now, R-Truth is getting pushed into a feud against CM Punk, one of the top stars on Smackdown. It made perfect sense to have him get the win here. I also liked how the announcers actually analyzed Ziggler's performance and talked about his arrogance possibly costing him. They did the same last week on Smackdown and it worked. The match itself was good. It had some high energy and high flying offense. It went back and forth nicely. Both Truth and Ziggler teased their finishers. I liked how Ziggler avoided both the ax kick and the Lie Detector early, then took both, the first for a nice near fall, the second for the three count.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

None: There wasn't anything nearly as bad this week as there was last week. I don't love the Ask the Divas segment, but it can be fun and isn't bad at all. The John Cena profile was well done. I do get tired of the Raw Rebound, but this was a huge Raw in terms of moving Shaemus into the main event picture, so I don't mind it as much. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Goldust was far from a Hit, but it was ok. It wasn't bad and wasn't a Miss. So, while I didn't love everything on this show, I really didn't hate anything either.
