SUPERSTARS HITS

Cryme Tyme vs. Ziggler & Knox: No, I am not giving this tag match a Hit just because it was nice to see Cryme Tyme facing a team other than The Hart Dynasty. That was just a nice bonus on this good match. It went 12 minutes and featured good wrestling action. I liked how JTG got the mini-hot tag early in the match, making the match look like it was going to be short, only to have Shad lose control and have it extended. I was very impressed with Mike Knox's drop kick. He can certainly move around very well for a big man. I also liked the announcers in this match. They once again called into question Dolph Ziggler's focus and talked about his arrogance costing him precious seconds in the ring, Then, Matt Striker said the same thing about JTG's hot dogging towards the end. It was actual match analysis.

MVP vs. Swagger: I enjoyed their match last week, and this week I enjoyed the rematch a bit more. They were both good matches, but somehow this one just seemed to click a little better. The ending sequence was particularly strong as Montel Vontavious Porter slipped out of a gutwrench powerbomb attempt from Jack Swagger and hit the big running boot in the corner to set up the play maker. Presumably we will get the rubber match in the series next week (it would be great to see it in a prominent spot on Raw, but that is highly unlikely). I do enjoy these guys working together, but assuming a third match next week, they both need to be moved on to bigger and better things soon.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

Raw Rebound: Just like I gave this a Miss for ECW, I have to give it a Miss for Superstars also. It is too long a video package on too bad a show. With Raw being so bad, and ECW being poor too (not as bad, but still bad), Superstars was actually the best show so far this week for WWE. Hopefully Smackdown will be even better. The only real complaint about Superstars was the look back at Raw. I even thought that Tommy Dreamer vs. Vance Archer was better than their first match from last week's ECW (better so it isn't a Miss, but not good enough for a Hit).
