SUPERSTARS HITS

DiBiase vs. Masters: This may have been Chris Masters' best match ever. That isn't really saying much. It wasn't a particularly good match, but it was just good enough to get a marginal Hit. What I liked most about it was actually Ted DiBiase's performance. I have been impressed with DiBiase as a possible future star (more so than Cody Rhodes). Here he actually helped carry Masters to a good match for which he should be credited. His facial reactions to almost being put in the Masterlock twice in the match were very good. He helped sell the move without even being put in it, just by the way he avoided it at all costs. That put Masters' finisher over. He really should be on the verge of big things in 2010.

Tatsu vs. Croft: So far, I have been more impressed with Trent Baretta than Caylen Croft in our few glimpses of the young team on ECW. However, Croft looked good here in his first WWE singles match against Yoshi Tatsu. This was by far the most we've seen of him in the ring as he has split time in his other matches so far (plus they were shorter to begin with). He did some unique things in the ring and hit a few common moves in slightly different ways than we usually see like his style of a traditional neck breaker. It isn't a big deal, but doing moves like that with a different style can make you stand out some. Tatsu was his normal good self with his high energy offense, particularly in his comebacks during the match. WWE continues to effectively get over his kick as a legit finisher which can come out of nowhere.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

Finlay vs. Knox: This was the match that WWE advertised early on during Superstars which seemed odd to me at the time, because when I heard them announce it, I didn't want to see it and couldn't imagine too many who did. These two don't compliment each other well in the ring. The match was fine. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. The real Miss here is that I would rather see Knox getting a win and a push than Finlay. I am sick and tired of Finlay, especially how he (a babyface) has to win every single match by cheating. It makes no sense. Knox really should have a brighter future than Finlay. I don't think Knox will ever be a main eventer, but he can certainly be used better than this.
