TNA Impact Reax #3: "It's getting very hard to defend TNA to non-fans and WWE marks alike."

David of St. Louis, Mo: Best Match: Main event. Worst Match: Rhino vs. Black Reign. Okay, someone within TNA needs to get the balls to tell Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett that Vince Russo and Dutch Mantell are the worst wrestling bookers of the past few years. Russo had some skill in '97, but in 2007, he's doing the same stuff and making the mistakes that Vince McMahon didn't allow him but Time Warner did. I could easily tell by this show that Russo was all over it because of his stupidity that just shined obviously in so many cases. Russo's friend Dustin Rhodes being pushed. A million things happening in the opening segment. The Dudley Boyz, the stale team that hasn't updated anything about themselves, is destroying TNA's X-Division Champion, who is Jay Lethal, a guy younger and who should be being pushed harder? The women all brawl... what a novel concept, Dutch and Russo. The Steiner Brothers are being pushed harder than Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin? Adam Pacman Jones shows less passion than anyone I've ever seen in wrestling! What a joke that he's getting paid. Kurt Angle attacks Sting's kid... okay. Chris Benoit recently killed his family and choked out his kid and Vince Russo is dumb enough to write this bullsh-- not knowing that it might make some people go "a wrestler attacking a child, wow thats wrestling for you"... Main-event was amazing, hats off to TNA for that however. Samoa Joe should be pushed 500 times harder. Okay show, but TNA needs to fire Russo and Dutch.
Paul of Ann of Arbor, Mich. (1.0): Best "Match": Angle's promos. Worst Match: 3D takes out the X-Division. Wow. Just wow. How could a great opportunity be wasted any worse than this. When Dustin Rhodes walked out to kick off the show, I knew it was going to be a long night. Worst Impact I've seen in a long time. Who green lights this stuff? Who is holding the proverbial gun to their head? With two hours, the X Division should be the centerpiece the rest of the show is built around. But an old tired act like the Dudley Boyz is destroying your signature division? What? Why can't the TNA brass see what everyone else sees? The New Age Outlaws, Steiners, Dustin Rhodes, Rikishi, and Sting are simply not relevant anymore. They make them look second rate. Pretending Adam Jones is going to do anything, is embarrassing. The WCW promos are terrible. It kills me to see so much potential wasted. Please! If anyone in TNA reads this stuff like they claim, change starts at the top. No more pretending everything is okay to protect your job. You know who you are. Step aside. Your pride and greed is destroying this company. When TNA fails, and WWE falls without competition, will you still enjoy all that blood money?
Tim Romines of Kingston, Tenn.: (4.0): Best Match: Main Event. Worst: Team 3D vs. Team Pacman, (barely). I was pretty hesitant to write and pile on TNA since this was their maiden voyage at two hours but, really, this is the best they could do? Dustin-Rhino to start the show and introduce the product to curious first timers when a high flying and dynamic X match would've been so much better is just lazy booking. Oh wait, I forgot, they have systematically destroyed the credibility of their only truly original aspect... my bad. I see where they wanted to go with Angle-Sting, I just didn't want to go with them. I'm always up for watching Eric "Mr. Charisma" Young go over, but didn't they just feed him to the Judas a couple of weeks ago? Sorta sending mixed signals there guys. Is he a contender or not? The same could be said about pretty much everyone who isn't named Kurt, Sting, Christian, or Abyss. Just to give the dead horse one more big kick, "Mission Control? This your target demographic. The Pacman Experiment is a horrible failure. Abort! Abort!" I know they're "just" X-Division guys, but Shelley and Sabin are mad over and could make great tag team champs; just sayin'. Also, I know that VKM are under contract and you have to pay them, but B.G. would make a fine comic heel replacement for Don West and could temper Tenay's over hyping style,(remember, back in the day, when Mike was a good commentator? It's true I swear!). As far as Kip goes, your on your own guys. Finally, let me say that I'm a fan of TNA. I have been for a good while and will try to remain so, but they simply must step up to the next level. It's getting very hard to defend them to non-fans and WWE marks alike.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
