TNA Impact Reax #2: "All in all, tonight's Impact probably one of the best Impacts I've ever seen." Oct 11, 2007 - 11:46:37 PM
Cory Johnson of Baltimore, Md. (9.0): I haven't seen a wrestling show like this in a long, long time. This show had me pumped and I usually don't get pumped for wrestling shows. Impact rocked tonight. I think TNA is finally starting to come around to what needs to be done to do a two hour show. I absolutely loved the introduction of Amazing Kong which brought me back to the days of seeing a new character for the first time. I loved the concerned facials that the girls had on their faces when they looked at Kong in the ring. Excellent introduction of a new character by TNA and Gail Kim played the role of an outgunned underdog. That sitting power bomb looked brutal. Kim and Kong in that one match was better than anything WWE has done with their women's division in a couple of years. The KnockOut title match at BFG has now become very, very interesting. Actually Kim-Kong tonight is a classic example of wrestling done right. Robert Roode wins over Petey Williams with a clean in the middle finish in a good match. Roode and Ms. Brooks is getting interesting. Raven, Black Reign, Abyss, and Rhino... wild brawl, good finish. Excellent finish in my opinion. Now all four men are in Monster's Ball (I love that name) at Bound for Glory and I'm looking forward to it. TNA used Don West correctly tonight with his silly over-the-top interview with Sonjay Dutt that I thought was pretty cool. West with the turban thingy around his head... entertaining good TV. Dutt came off very well as the segment was short but effective in getting Dutt over as a man who cares about his fellow man. Could've done without the PacMan/Truth match, but it was okay for what it was. The interchange between Nash and Sting was well done. If Nash becomes a player, then TNA introduced it well tonight. I've been wondering why TNA was spending so much time with a non-player such as Nash. Sting-Angle at BFG... eh I'm not all that excited about it, but BFG has a better undercard than the main event. All in all, tonight's Impact probably one of the best Impacts I've ever seen. Keep it up TNA. If anybody is turned off of WWE and all their offshoot brands, TNA did it right tonight. I wonder if WWE is watching?
Trevor Dumais of Lawrence Mass. (0.0): Best Match: Six-Man Tag Main Event. Worst Match: Team Pacman vs. Triple X. This show continues to make me question why I watch wrestling. If I plucked out the only good segments from the seven hours of wrestling per week between WWE and TNA, I would get about 40 minutes of TV, and zero footage from TNA. What else can you expect from a promotion that just hands a tag title to a man who can't even wrestle? What else can you expect after that felon is allowed to mock his crime and toss money? I expect nothing from TNA, and even more so, from Kurt & Karen Angle, and including Sting, from continuing the Chris Benoit storyline. Marriage problems, assault on a child, and real-life problems behind the scenes do not make for good TV. And to think I truly believed MTV's Wrestling Society X was a crime against wrestling - I clearly did not watch TNA in 2007. This crap makes me sick. Christian, Styles, Samoa Joe, and the other young talent on the show, listen to me now - please quit this company before your careers are tainted anymore!
Mike Gibbons of Paradise, N.F.: The only thing I would like to say about tonight's Impact is that it is digusting how A.J. Styles is treated like a joke. A.J. is in my opinion one of the most exciting guys in wrestling,he has been and could once again be a great asset to the Heavyweight Division, X-Division, or Tag Team Division. He used to be one of the most important men in TNA and now he is just a stupid and weak lackey. Styles should have his own team of lackeys. This Sunday,TNA has its biggest PPV of the year and one of their biggest names is in a throw away tag title match facing a team consisting of a great talent in Ron Killings and some other guy that can't be physically touched. A.J. should be facing Kurt Angl; that would be an amazing match. Oh wait, they did have a match a few months ago and A.J. looked extremely weak. TNA has the chance to be something special, but instead they choose to continue being WWE Lite. The first step in being something special is to put the"Phenomenal" back in A.J. Styles.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
