TNA Bound for Glory PPV Reax #4: "Hands down the absolute best wrestling pay-per view I have ever witnessed." Oct 15, 2007 - 2:48:49 PM
Tyler Henderson of Omaha, Neb. (9.0): Best Matches: LAX vs. Triple X, Christian vs. Joe. Worst: Assumingly Monster's Ball (I fast-forwarded). This show greatly exceeded my expectations. They started off with a solid opener; the reverse battle royal was alright (Kaz doing the flux capacitor to qualify he and Roode was pretty sweet). Creed stepping in and actually wrestling on behalf of Pacman was a nice surprise, and the match benefited greatly with all participants giving their all. Sting-Angle had a classic match that didn't suffer from the interference, and after Angle botched a 450 and a bat shot, you could tell Sting was like, "Alright Motherf------!" All matches were great, except the fat guy brawls, and Amazing Kong's Tahtahs, which even still shouldn't keep you from watching this great PPV.
Doug Robinson of Rogers, Ark. (10.0): Best Match: Christian Cage vs. Samoa Joe. Worst Match: None. I have watched wrestling for 20 years. I follow wrestling with a passion and truly respect and appreciate the art that is professional wrestling. TNA's Bound for Glory 2007 was hands down the absolute best professional wrestling pay-per view I have ever witnessed in my life. The goal of BFG last night should have been to give every single current WWE fan and all those "lost" WCW fans the best reason to jump on the bandwagon since their inception. I have watched TNA since birth and Bound for Glory absolutely made the best case for that last night. Every match delivered beyond expectations with significant nods going to Ultimate X, Joe vs Cage, Sting vs. Angle, Daniels vs. Machismo, and Truth & Consequences vs. Styles & Tomko. In fact, I almost feel bad highlighting those matches and leaving out matches that would have stole the show on any WWE PPV like monsters ball, the 20 man gauntlet highlighted by an amazing Kazarian, shattering the glass ceiling with Showtime, and dare I say the amazing TNA Women's division match. I knew TNA had the potential to put on the very best PPV they have ever had. Little did I know it would be the best PPV I have ever seen in my life. The future is now.
Jason of Portland, Or.: Thumbs up for the actual wrestling. Thumbs down for the tact of this company. Best Match: Cage-Joe. Alright. I don't think of myself as overly sensitive or politically correct. I'm also not one of the internet smarks that boycott wrestling every other week. Claiming they'll never watch WWE again, (only to write in a few weeks later that something on Raw offended them). With all that being said, I'll never watch TNA again. The Pacman money throwing thing and Mike Tenay's comments were unbelievable! How many people watching knew what it was related to? What the hell did it accomplish? (aside from driving one of the few people who bought the PPVs away) I used to have a lot of respect for Mike Tenay and his knowledge of the industry. I have no doubt that Tenay knows about the Tom Urbanski situation. That's not an angle. A pro wrestler, one of the boys, will never walk again. That's reality. Real life. I hope Angle & Joe end up in WWE because I'm never watching TNA again.
