WWE Raw Reax #1: "Watching Raw is enough of a chore just knowing Orton is champ."

Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Conn. (3.0): Best Match: Save_Us.229 and No Triple H. Worst Match: Watching Orton three times. Coming off a 2.8 rating last week and TNA's favorably reviewed PPV last night, how was the WWE going to respond tonight? Three Randy Orton matches! Ugh. Watching Raw is enough of a chore just knowing Orton is champ. Lemme guess, is Smackdown going to have three Batista matches Friday? Raw really didn't give me very much enjoyment at all except for watching the women's match (yes, I'm serious) and the Y2J teaser. By the way, Revelation 2:25, King James Version is this: "But that which ye have already hold fast till I come." There seemed to be more thought put into that five second video than the rest of tonight's events put together. The whole Glamazon idea could work, but that tiara/headpiece Beth has to wear is way too '80s to work now. Update her look, possibly make her look more dominatrix-like/the evil queen from "Snow White" than She-Ra. I'm no Bob Holly fan, but I enjoyed seeing Cody Rhodes getting roughed up. I just don't see him as a likable character, so the "scrappy underdog" storyline isn't a good fit for him. Ross and Lawler seem like shadows of themselves back in their prime - listening to them now with their forced laughter at the midget skits makes me wonder if the time has come to change things up. Raw could be enjoyable, but instead is has to be the Randy and Hornswoggle Show.

Gary Graham of Zanesville, Ohio (2.5): Best Match: Orton vs. Hardy. Worst Match: Coach vs. Hornswoggle. Man, I felt sorry for those in the UK who were at that show. This show was just boring. As a huge Orton mark, I just didn't understand how he was booked tonight. He's the WWE champ and he was made to look like he was gonna lose three matches tonight and had his butt saved in all three matches? They better do something big with him next week to get his heat back. And didn't we see the same superkick ending to the show last week? But it's always cool seeing Randy's great sell-job of those. He sells that move better than anyone. When is the midget's contract up? Soon, I hope. The only plus was no Triple H and his ego. There's really nothing else to say except if anyone out there missed this show, don't worry, watch paint dry, it'll be more exciting.
