ECW Reax #1: "Each of the three candidates for Punk's opponent at Cyber Sunday stated their case well." Oct 17, 2007 - 2:32:57 PM
We have not been running ECW Reax lately, but we want to start doing so. So join Terrie and Scott by sending your score and paragraph of thoughts on this week's show. We'll add your review for sure: Email Here.
Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0): Best: Punk & Kane vs. BDV & Miz & Morrison Worst: Chants I couldn't understand. Like last night with Raw, the hot crowd elevated the show, until literally the last few minutes when some were visibly leaving. Each of the three candidates for Punk's opponent at Cyber Sunday stated their case well relative to their cause. This one is probably the most predictable of all the voting, but they're doing well to cover up that fact for the casual fans. Kane and Jesse and Festus were special exchanges from Smackdown for their special UK trip; I'm assuming that due to their lack of face time that Dreamer, Thorn, and either Richards or Mike Knox are exchanges to Smackdown? Did Elijah Burke really piss someone off, because he looks like he's in worse standing than he was even before Morrison was suspended. This episode wasn't bad and was helped by the crowd; I just wished I knew what they were chanting. Got distracting after a while.
Scott Miller of Collingdale, Pa.: I was able to catch the end of the Miz and Morrison match and all I can say is it was ugly. I saw at least two botched spots, the last of which was the spill off the top rope just before Big Daddy V interrupted. I get so tired of the WWE pushing guys just because they're big. They have guys on the roster with great personality who get pushed aside because someone out weighs them. They're so short on good wrestlers with personality that make the fans either love or hate them because the roster is filled with low-talent big guys. Thank God Y2J is coming back soon! And could someone please get Big Daddy V a manssiere. I really hope the WWE gives away Victoria's Secret gift cards to all of the divas and Big Daddy V for Christmas.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
