Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.0): Best: VIP Lounge; MVP/Hardy vs. Rey/Finlay Worst: Kane vs. Henry (default); ECW triple threat. While it lagged in the middle, Smackdown started and finished strong, and the Cyber Sunday go-home build was actually better than on Raw. I'm curious as to why the referees' videos weren't played on Raw, especially with the potential of an Austin-Santino confrontation. Each of them (especially JBL's, which did include a notice of his financial wizardry) was done well in line with each character. Smackdown's crowd crapped even more on the Diva Search segment than the Raw crowd did, and it was really was worse than the Raw segment. JBL as the lightning rod for the Batista-Undertaker build was nicely done as he has more issues between those two than Austin and Foley do right now. He may not be able to bump a full match these days, but he can still sell the two faces bumps well enough. Unlike some of the other vote possibilities, JBL is the only entity available to plug the ref vote. Sorry, Bradshaw, Austin's my choice (I'm looking beyond this match). I'm looking for Rey and Finlay to just plain fight in a No DQ match (pole and stretcher matches always seem hokey) despite the possibility that in a sense there will lilkely be two of them (Triple H-Umaga street fight being the other). And Hardy-MVP took a major hit in their rivalry do a fluke moment. I did know ahead of time that Matt got gashed, and it did look bad. Rey usually wears shiny faux leather attire; this particular attire was regular fabric, which may explain how Matt got caught and gashed. Assuming that their match is still on, I'm looking for this one to be an MMA match, saving a wrestling match for when a title is on the line, which it doesn't seem to be for Sunday. Everything is set for Cyber Sunday; regardless of the results, the card looks like it could be all right.
Brian J. Adkins of King, N.C. (2.0) Best match: MVP & Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio & Finlay. Worst Match: Kane vs. Mark Henry. When they showed the beginning with all four guys in the main tag match in the V.I.P. setting, I was hoping for some good bantering, but there really wasn't anything entertaining nor clever about the segment. The two Diva wannabes had an okay bit with them trying to come up with insults for one another. I was expecting more from the main tag match, but it seemed to lack any energy and obviously the gash on Matt Hardy's head didn't help matters. MVP scored the pin after Rey was hit with a shillelagh, it'll be interesting to see if Rey ends up in the hunt for the U.S. Title. I understand that what they are doing with Jamie Noble is comic relief but, even though the upset is very unlikely, shouldn't a wrestler be excited about being in the ring with the world champion? The triple threat match just filled time showing some of V, Miz, and Morrison. Jesse & Festus are amusing at the very least. Why do I get the feeling he'll start at the beginning of the 2008 Royal Rumble? You know, since he has to hear the bell ring? Good grief, why is the Undertaker's entrance so long? I read that it's been clocked at six minutes. Are his knees that bad? Yes, the show could use a new set and color scheme. Overall, if you missed it, you really didn't. I kept flipping channels the show was so dull.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
