WWE Raw Reax #3: "It's beyond saving, it's just all downhill from here folks." Oct 29, 2007 - 11:45:53 PM
Rick Stevenson, Sierra Vista, Ariz. (0.0) Best Match: None. Worst Match: No Jericho. What a waste of time. I enjoyed Cyber Sunday, only to feel like I was slapped in the face over this crap. What a wretched waste of time. Not a match worth a damn and no Jericho in sight.
Jon Jandavs of Winnipeg, Manitoba (-10.0): Best Match: Santino Marella. Worst Match: Name it. This was by far the worst Raw I've seen in a long time. It's like WWE is trying to lose viewers. I've watched WWE since the days of Saturday morning wrestling with Billy Red Lyons and ive endured some boring boring moments and shows, but this by far was the worst Raw ever. There was the lack of Chris Jericho, the Diva Search, the Vince McMahon garbage - everything on this show from top to bottom minus Santino Marella sucked. People wonder why the ratings suck recently for Raw. Case in point: Tonight! Nobody cares about The Highlanders, Nobody cares about Hardcore Holly. Nobody even cares about DX. Triple H makes me want to puke, HBK is the same old HBK. Randy Orton the champion is on for four minutes. Vince comes back and dominates the show with crap promos and garbage wrestling. In his one promo near the end he says I get what I want and when I want it or something along those lines. Is it just me or is what Vince wants not what all the fans who made him a billionaire want? You know what? I was looking forward to Chris Jericho returning, but not even Chris Jericho can save WWE. It's beyond saving, it's just all downhill from here folks. It's pretty bad when the most entertaining thing week to week is Santino Marella. So let me get this right... Next week we get the return of DX and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin? Just like WWE, go back to the past when things arent going well. I'm starting to think that Vince Russo was the reason WWE was good back in the day because obviously Vince and Co. now wouldn't know a good thing if it bit them in their smug asses. FUCK WWE. I'm done. Thanks Vince. You've lost another one.
Jordan Taylor (6.0): Best Match: Santino! Worst Match: Diva Search. First off, I'm really amused by the fans who are livid about Jericho not returning. A lot of these people are blaming Vince for pulling an evil, conniving bait and switch for not putting Jericho on the show. Quite frankly, the fans have only themselves to blame. They (myself included) got psyched up for something that was never a guarantee. Sure, I was a bit bummed out when I realized that Jericho wouldn't be on Raw tonight, but I'm not going to blame WWE for the hype that the internet created. That being said, tonight's Raw was essentially a builder to next week's episode, which should hopefully be an eventful Raw. Santino was purely awesome. "Like Tom Hanks with the AIDS" had me rolling. If there's any reason to TiVo Raw, it's because of Santino. Again, lighten up, people.
Brian Oglesby of Beech Island, S.C. (5.0): This was a very uneventful Raw. The Philly crowd seemed ready for Chris Jericho as they were chanting for "Y2J." Perhaps the new "save us" video means that the code will be broken on Nov. 19, the Raw after Survivor Series? Should be interesting meeting next week between Santino and Austin. Santino is funny with his promos each week, so hopefully Austin's appearance will be more than just a Stunner and beer drinking. Otherwise, a pretty slow night with nothing major happening on the show. Nice cover up from J.R. on the missed Sweet Chin Music from HBK. Looks like DX is getting back together, but hopefully it won't mean the rest of the roster is fed to them and buried. It also seems like Jeff Hardy is no longer in the title picture after Cyber Sunday. He seems to have a good program going with Mr. Kennedy, so I can't really complain about that. Otherwise a very bland Raw that could have been much more.
