ECW Reax #1: "I have never seen ECW on the Sci-Fi channel before tonight..."

Jon Quennell of Wasilla, Alaska (7.0): Best Match: Chavo Guerrero vs. C.M. Punk. Worst Match: Mark Henry vs. Colin Delaney. I will happily admit that I have never seen ECW on the Sci-Fi channel before tonight, but an upgraded cable package and little else to do made me check it out.  What I found was something that’s currently missing on Raw, Smackdown, and Impact - and that’s accessibility. After watching only one hour, I knew the main players, feuds, and reasoning behind it.  Sure, it may just be a nationally televised developmental territory, but the wrestling matches were wrestling matches, the divas didn’t try (tonight anyway) to be something they’re not.  Shelton Benjamin had more promo time tonight then he ever had the last six months on Raw, and he did a good job of selling the rumble.  The Miz/Morrison vs. Yang/Moore was also an above average TV match.  I dislike the Miz slightly less with each near fall.  As for the main event, it was a good show case for both involved. I look forward to a Punk-Guerrero Rumble match with the standard no disqualification/no count out stipulations, I only hope they’re given more than five minutes to perform. My only complaint is that I thought that C.M. Punk could have done with a promo to voice his opinions, instead of Tazz telling us what he told him.  I will definitely tune in next week, as long as they continue down the keep it simple path I saw tonight.

Erik DiMera of San Diego, Calif. (5.0): Best Match: Punk vs. Chavo. Worst Match: Colin vs. Henry. I just wanted to write that in the review it seemed like you had Kelly getting cheered and Layla booed. More like a mixed reaction for Layla with "Kelly Sucks" chants after Kelly was finished and "Layla/Kelly" chants right before the new girl announced she was gonna dance. Layla moved much better and anyone who supported Kelly Kelly? Well, that's just pitiful, no matter how you slice it.
Tremont Nichols: Before the show even started, I asked myself where was Colin Delaney? Did Anyone Think C.M. Punk would beat Chavo Tonight? Regarding Yang & Moore vs. Miz & Morrison, I liked the way the let the action go back and forth before Morrison got the roll-up on Yang. They picked the right time to go to commercial break (learn a lesson TNA). Coming back from break, I liked how they immediately allowed Yang to pin Morrison. It made them seem like they were urgent on picking up the last pinfall. That backbreaker into an elbow move looks devastating. With 3:05 to go, it looked like Shannon Moore and Miz were going ot be the hot tag of the match. (Who would thought it?) Why would Shannon Moore knock Miz over the ropes with 2:00 to go. Would have been better if they had more near falls towards the end of the match? Did Shannon Moore do the "Whisper in the Wind"? Great match, but if the score was tied, why not have a sudden death?
