Terrie Neilson, Las Vegas, NV (7.0) Best: opening segment. Worst: main event (though it tried hard not to be). Compared to last night's Raw, there was no meltdown. For the non-related content, Swagger continues his push while Ortiz continues to be window dressing. A Swagger-Dreamer feud is on the horizon, and can do only good things for Swagger. Miz and Morrison seemed to be having fun in their promo, but the match with Cryme Tyme was a little flighty. I was waiting for some cat-calling by the fans for the seemingly botched back body drop, but there was nothing there (crowd was dead for most of it). Striker covering by saying that Miz countered or blocked the move somehow worked, and it looked like that's what happened. The Mike Knox video that was shown on Raw should have shown on ECW instead (and instead of the Cena video). ... The opening segment was fine, though Evan seemed a little nervous on the mic. The main event match, which Matt Hardy should have been observing in some fashion to make it seem important, clashed just too much style-wise, and the crowd only stayed with it when Bourne made a move. Finlay is either a really good seller or he's legit hurt; that hit on the corner post from the apron looked brutal and unprotected. Bourne probably got the upset win to cover that he "won't get the vote" on Sunday. I suspect a fix if Henry wins. It's too soon to put the belt on Evan, but the match would be light years better.

Althea Peterson of Tulsa, OK: Last night's ECW show was middle-of-the-road, but there were some funny-awful moments that stuck out like Evan Bourne's "text vote for me" picture. As things have been going lately, I would rather watch ECW more than Raw, and I would rather watch Smackdown on any night except Friday, but since that's the night it lands on, I watch it when I can. You had mentioned the economy in one of your polls - it's not that I'm penny pinching or worried that I'm going to be broke in a year from unemployment or something - it's that the product out there is not worth the price. I would love more than anything to wear a shirt of my favorite wrestlers if I didn't think I would die of embarrassment of being seen in such ugly merchandise in public. Also, it might sound simple, but if I pay money, I expect to see the things I don't already see for free, like title changes, hardcore-themed matches, etc. Maybe it's just me, but I really think that WWE has lost a lot of what it used to have and perhaps it's just a different cast now like SNL, or perhaps it's the lack of WCW quality competition, but whatever it is, it just isn't there anymore.

For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:

-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."

-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."

-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).

-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wresting promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no RAW (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.

-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
