Aaron Randall of Mesa, Ariz. (6.0): Best: Hardy vs. Bourne. Worst: Cryme Tyme vs. Miz & Morrison. It was kind of a disappointing PPV because WWE was on a hot streak with their PPVs. But, overall it was entertaining to watch. Evan Bourne is so much fun to watch and WWE is really giving him an opportunity to shine in the coming years. A lot of people might complain that the costume contest was drawn out, but it was filler and it was fun to watch. My vote goes to Victoria with the Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Jeff Hardy is losing credibility as a potential champion every time he loses to Triple H. If it keeps happening, we may never see Jeff with the belt on his waist.
Sam Weiss of San Diego, Calif. (5.0): Best: Maryse in the maid's uniform. Worst (tie): Intercontinental Title match and the crowd. Note to WWE: Don't do PPVs in Phoenix! The crowd detracted from some of the matches, at times by being totally listless, and at other times by simply being jerks. Case in point: the ECW title match. Two great wrestlers - one young and one not so young anymore - really turning it on in the ring, yet the crowd was silent. It wasn't until the (missed) shooting star press that the crowd really seemed to notice the extraordinary talent in the ring. As for the failed humor spot with Santino and the retirees, what can I say? All three of the legends seemed really out of it, physically and emotionally. Rarely does a Santino spot totally fail, but between this PPV and the last Raw episode, I'd say Santino's stock is in decline faster than the Dow Jones. As for the three big matches - no one really seemed to rise to the occasion, though Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H is always at least decent. Big Show vs. Undertaker was botched - from Vickie's misread lines to the actual action in the ring. Finally, Austin was a disappointment. After last week's Raw I wrote that I was not motivated to buy this PPV, and I wasn't. A friend bought the PPV this time and I got to watch it for free. I'm glad it wasn't my money.
Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Ct. (3.0): High Point: Mickie "Lara Croft" James. Low Point: WWE's "Physique above all" philosophy. It's nights like this that I wonder why anyone would shovel out $40 for this stuff. I missed the first hour of the show, so maybe it would have scored higher had I seen it in its entirety. With what I did see, yes, seeing Maryse and Mickie's costumes were the highlight of the night for me. No joke. The three matches I did see had Taker, Triple H, and Batista all winning. What a surprise! I can't get excited about these matches, even if they scored well on the snowflake meter. I keep hoping that maybe this time, this PPV, WWE will step away from its formula of pushing the same guys in the spotlight and keeping them there for years upon years. I can't believe some people actually believe Jeff Hardy had any chance of winning the belt tonight. I was more disenchanted with Batista's title victory, though. You have Chris Jericho, an excellent in-ring wrestler, a participant in the year's best feud, and the most exquisitely textured heel in years, and what do you do with him? Give him the "transitional champion" treatment so you can put the belt on the most freakishly muscled guy in the company. I simply can't get excited by only seeing guys who "turn heads in airports," the same six guys, for that matter, run roughshod over everyone else. Did you know that I'm getting sick of this crap? I'd love to see that factoid presented on Raw tomorrow.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wresting promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no RAW (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
