Charlie Greenfield in the U.K. (7.5): Best Match: Kurt Angle vs. Abyss: Worst Match: Eric Young vs. James Storm. This week's Impact was the best one in a while because the show was not too rushed and most of the content on the show was useful. I think the storyline of The Main Event Mafia looks like it could do well for TNA, because this should be the time where they put over the likes of A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe over the next few months. I enjoyed the main event of Kurt Angle-Abyss. It was the best one in a while, and the ending did not bother me because it had Scott Steiner making his return. One of the few bad bits I did not like on the show was the fact the young guys are all very small wrestlers compared to the Main Event Mafia. This is where the Main Event Mafia, as the heels, are far superior to the babyfaces who look out-matched. The question is how do they beat them? I will be watching next week to see things plan out. They need to give this storyline a long direction and not a short conclusion to over-complicate things by adding too much confusion, as TNA has done in the past. TNA gets a bad name all the time, but this storyline needs time. Columnists and writers for any wrestling site should not badmouth it straight away. This week's Impact was a much better improvement and they can build on this.
Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.0): Best: Sabin/Shelley vs. Tanahashi/Volador; Eric Young. Worst: what's his name again? The new TNA set and video screens really don't do much for me as I don't get HD, but change is needed every once in a while. Judging by the
entrance ramp, it looks reminiscent of its first look with added flashier lights. As for the show, it was one of their better outings. The Guns finally established some sensible context to their recent behavior, but actually stating their case back then could have helped lessen the confusion. I also liked that there was some brief tension so as not to shortcut the storyline. I'm curious as to why ODB is the only woman among the TNA "originals." And Eric Young is all serious; good for him! It's been needed. Mysteriously missing are the rest of the Prince Justice Brotherhood. It does open the door for Christopher Daniels to return as himself, I but don't know how Shark Boy will fit in. Still not looking forward to Suicide; why is Kaz doing this again? Looks like the Knockouts match for the PPV may be a three-way hardcore-style match. I'm game for that. I'm liking that Christian is calling out Booker for his current identity crisis. Nash needing to use an old issue with Scott Hall as a reason to trash Joe will take him nowhere fast. And Scott gets enabled for bad behavior yet again. The Main Event Mafia gets the advantage yet again two weeks straight. True, the addition of Scott Steiner was the reason this week, but still it's two in a row where the heels stood tall. Should we keep a scorecard on that? This finish had something to carry over until next week: Steiner and Williams's stare downs. That could provide further depth to both sides.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wresting promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no RAW (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
