Today's question of the day involves Tommy Dreamer's scripted quest for the ECW Title by the time his WWE contract expires in June. So far, not much has gone right since Dreamer's quest began.

Today, we posed the question of what's the one or two "missing ingredients" from Dreamer's quest that WWE is missing that could create an intriguing program for the next few months involving Dreamer. Here's our first batch of feedback.

Brian J. Adkins writes: "One main missing ingredient is familiarity or recognition. Many fans who watch ECW now don't know why they should care about Tommy Dreamer. They still call him an ECW Original but many probably do not know nor care what that means.

Reintroduce him to the audience by showing old clips of his rise in ECW, then show him now as he trains and tries to get back into shape. Show his family and why becoming ECW champion again would mean so much to all of them."

Caldwell Responds: If there ever was a time for a training video in pro wrestling, the Tommy Dreamer quest is a perfect fit. It would be very Rocky-esque and allow Dreamer to talk about his past, what ECW really means to him, and show him pumping iron to work out his losing streak.

Perhaps WWE could take a page from TNA's excellent "Rough Cut" series of video packages by incorporating some promos and action clips from Dreamer. That would require WWE to admit Dreamer is worth the financial and time investment for this program, but I believe it would be well worth it.

Torch reader Jim adds to the historical context response from Brian: "Putting some historical context around what ECW has meant to Tommy will help the newer fans to whom the 'original' ECW is just another part of WWE's tape library. They'll gain some perspective as to why WWE's tertiary World Title means so much to the hard luck veteran."
