ECW on Sci-Fi Reax #1: "One thing missing from the promo was him being upset that he wasn't featured at WrestleMania..."

4/7 WWE ECW on Sci-Fi TV Reax

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (3.0) Best: Carlito/Primo/Bourne vs. Miz/Morrison/Kidd. Worst: rest of show. The more things change, the more they stay the same. ECW's ridiculously thin roster leaves it vulnerable to the whims of WWE. I would rather have seen another round of the Burchills vs. Gabriel/Fox than another replay of the Triple H-Orton saga or the "12 Rounds" media blitz. Michaels-Taker was still given too brief of treatment but at least it was uninterrupted. (I'd still would rather see one of them hold up the actual newspaper with the top of the fold headline article.) At least now the GMs are set going forward. Tiffany is not too bad on the mic and held her own against Swagger. It's nice that Swagger got off to a cocky start about rules being different for him vs. the others on the roster. One thing missing from the promo was him being upset that he wasn't featured at WrestleMania 25 in a title match. It would follow that he wasn't been taken care of and that a champion demands more from the brand he represents. The Elimination Chase concept worked well last time, though it had been a while since it was last used so a refresher on the concept would have served well in the opening promo. The match itself, however, was pretty bad. To a degree, three of the parties are excused, as I am sure they were still hurting from Money in the Bank. Next week's triple threat should be better after these guys get some semblance of rest. Couldn't find much wrong with the six-man match. I'm hoping that Kidd only took the pin because he is the lowest on the experience totem pole. He's got promise and I wouldn't want to see him fall through the cracks. Striker and Matthews seems to pair well together, and I don't feel too uncomfortable about getting used to a new broadcast partner. For WWE, it's a new season with new beginnings. Here's hoping they won't end this new season with a whimper like the last one.

3/31 WWE ECW on Sci-Fi TV Reax

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (6.0): There was no best or worst since ECW essentially took the night off. For the record, the MITB tag match was better than the Bellas match, but neither match did much for what's coming on Sunday. What was left beside the constant PPV plugs were the packages we're most likely going to see come Sunday, and all three were nicely done. My favorite is the Michaels-Taker story (little biased there), but it was also the best put together without going to major character extremes. I'm still seeing Orton, Cena, Shelton, Miz/Morrison, and Taker winning at this point, and don't expect Smackdown to change my opinion. The results of JBL-Rey, Divas battle royal, and Jericho-Legends are still wide open to me.
