4/19 TNA Lockdown PPV Reax

David Miller of Terre Haute, Ind. (5.0): Best match: Motor City Machine Guns vs. LAX vs. No Limit. Worst match: Matt Morgan vs. Abyss. So-so outing for TNA in the city of brotherly love. Eric Young vs. Danny Bonaduce was a guilty pleasure. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing Danny Partridge get gored? Now maybe Young can go after that annoying little Oliver kid from The Brady Bunch. I can see where Suicide got his name after that insane dive from the top of the cage. ODB was over big with the Philly crowd and put on a good show for them. As for her post-match treatment of Cody, I don't know if I envied him or feared for his life. The NJPW Jr. tag team match may have been light on ring psychology, but it was heavy on action. Abyss bled, then took a bump on thumbtacks. How many of his matches does that describe? Also, was Mike Tenay the only person in the world who didn't know Dr. Stevie was Stevie Richards? I was legitimately concerned for Angelina Love. It was easy to see that she had her lights dimmed after that cross bodyblock. Team 3D vs. BMI was okay, but let me clue TNA in on something. I did not pay $1,400 for a 40-inch plasma TV to see two ten-inch split screens. The whole split screen thing is just annoying. Team Angle vs. Team Jarrett was saved by A.J. Styles's incredible leap through the cage. Sting vs. Mick Foley, while looking good on paper, brought back bad memories of Hogan vs. Piper in WCW. Ten years too late, TNA. I'm not sorry I bought the PPV, but it didn't exactly entice me to buy future PPVs either.

Luke Fleeman of Visalia, Calif. (7.5): Best Match: Lethal Lockdown match. Worst Match: ODB vs. Sojo Bolt vs. Daffney vs. Madison. I thought this was a fairly solid pay-per-view. I liked the main event because I really thought Sting would win and it had some good spots and psychology. Lethal Lockdown was great with a lot of good spots and psychology as well, with the Jarrett tease playing out well. Other than A.J. missing everyone on his fall through the cage, it was a good match. The Junior Tag match was great as well, with a lot of really great teamwork between the teams. I was disappointed with the PPV too, though. I never felt like 3D wouldn't win, but I hoped they would lose, considering all their talk about helping the young guys. Despite the cage stipulation, virtually every match had the cage opened, or interference, which killed the stip. And the first women's match was bad. Most of all, Hebner obviously blading Sting and Abyss obviously increasing his bleeding seemed really bad.
