4/19 TNA Lockdown PPV Reax

David Hayter, of London England (4.0): Best Match: Team 3D vs. Beer Money. Worst Match: Foley vs. Sting. I found this show incredibly tedious and everything seemed disappointing. This is probably because it's the first TNA PPV that TNA TV has actually made me want to pay to see in what seems like an eternity. I thought the Sting-Foley match was cringe-inducing, plodding, and ultimately dull. Foley being world champ is just mind-boggling stupid; TNA will never learn. Lethal Lockdown was a real disappointment as well. Normally Lethal Lockdown is a fun match and one of the better TNA main events of the year, but this year's edition was a lot of standing around with a dull, predictable, and semi-botched finish. It was basically eight guys waiting around for a dive from A.J., who managed to miss all three men, and a "shock" decision from Jeff Jarrett. The two surprises weren't so hot. World champion Stevie Richards! I would love to meet someone who was actually surprised to find out that Dr. Stevie was Stevie Richards. And let us not forget Bobby "yawn" Lashley. I hope he gets a 20 minute promo battle with Jeff on Impact. Team 3D's match was pretty good, but the ten minutes of standing around in the crowd was very dated and unnecessary. I felt the impact of the garbage wrestling and blade jobs was completely undermined by having a ridiculous Doomsday Chamber of Blood match beforehand. I thought the Machineguns match was just a bunch of moves, but a fun bunch of moves. I thought the X Division and Queen of the Cage's matches were both total messes and forgettable. The Knockouts Title match was fine with a blown finish. Ultimately, Lockdown was a well-hyped show that failed to deliver in almost every way.

Ryan Rider of Montreal, Quebec (8.0): Best Match: Foley vs. Sting. Worst Match: Eric Young vs. Danny Bonaduce. I don't believe it! Foley is the world champion! Lockdown was a hell of a show, I gotta say. I didn't react too much to the Bobby Lashley announcement, but I am excited to see him coming into the company. He had potential in WWE and could be molded in to a big star for TNA - a guy who jumped ship right before he was going to become a star. Interesting to see that Joe was wearing a black towel and the second man is most likely Taz. They will slowly show hints until he is able to debut. I think Joe and Taz have similarities and would be a dream match if they were both in their prime. Taz could be a great manager, possibly for Joe. I was expecting a lot hotter crowd and that took away from the show a little bit.
