TNA PPV Reax #2: "They blew the Taz debut on last Thursday's show; that's why the fans didn't care about him"

-- 7/19 TNA Victory Road PPV Reax

Peter Burchett, Torch reader: For me, it just felt like an extended version of Impact. Some of the matches did not live up to expectations and the main event just didn't have enough wrestling time. It was over too soon, plus what a weak debut for Taz. No mic time? You gotta be kidding me. It was a set-up for Thursday's Impact, but still, it would have been nice. It would have also been nice for the British Invasion to have won and see them get a little push.

Rex Lint, Torch reader (0.0): I gave the show a zero for any lack of direction whatsoever. Tara vs. Love - what was the point of giving Tara the title only to give it back to Love a short time later ? Matt Morgan vs. Daniels - I understand they have to give Morgan a push, but not at the expense of one of the best wrestlers in the company. Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie - I hope this match ends this angle once and for all. What happened to Raven? He was gone just like that. Team 3D vs. British Invasion - best match of the night. Sharmell vs. Jenna - please, for the love of God, fire both of these two at once. Kevin Nash vs. A.J. Styles - there was no reason to put the belt on Nash other then to give MEM all the belts. Booker & Steiner vs. Beer Money - again, no reason to put the straps on these two other then to give MEM all the belts. I just hate when they throw the belt on a randomly formed tag team like WWE did with Y2J and Edge. Samoa Joe vs. Sting - I still don't see why Joe is with the MEM. MEM was formed to go against the disrespectful younger guys and now they let Joe in and soon Morgan. Why? And they blew the Taz debut on last Thursday's show; that's why the fans didn't care about him. Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley - Mick is too old and washed up to be in the hunt for a World Title belt and Kurt was too hurt going into this match. Why not turn it into a triple treat match and put the belt on someone else? That's right, they wanted MEM to own all the belts. MEM is the 2009 version of the NWO, which eventually failed. MEM needs to fail as well because they have not done enough improving the ratings. If it was done right, they could have boosted the ratings to where they would be competing with WWE. They should have had A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Daniels, Matt Morgan, and Beer Money, Inc. vs. the MEM. That would have been better then the way they did things.
