WWE Raw Reax #3: "At this rate, I'd rather watch two hours of Abraham Washington than two hours of Raw"

-- 7/20 WWE Raw Reax

Katina Cruz of Atlanta, Ga. (4.0): Best Match: Six-man Tag and Lawler vs. Kendrick. Worst: Everything Else. Just when I was starting to get into WWE having a guest host every week, they ruin it by having ZZ Top as hosts. I am a ZZ Top fan, but their acting was so poor and they acted like they were bored to tears. At first I wondered why drummer Frank Beard wasn't there, but now I realize he was the only one who showed any intelligence by not showing up. WWE has totally ruined Santino. The six-man tag match was not bad, but I am getting sick of basically the same main event every week. I enjoyed the Lawler vs. Kendrick match. Lawler is a wrestling legend who hasn't always been treated properly by the WWE, so it is good when they give this legend his due. Everything else on the show was an absolute bore and it amazes me how the WWE writers can destroy the best character they have on their roster, Chris Jericho. I understand him taking a beat down one week, but for it to happen two weeks in a row makes him look like a joke.

A.A. Norman of Tulsa, Okla. (5.0): Best: Six-man tag match. Worst: Trying to convince myself that I'm being entertained. If this wasn't the summer and WWE was competing with something besides reruns and boring baseball, I'm sure their ratings would be even worse right now, given their current state. I have faith that Shaq will be a little more into the show than ZZ Top, but then again, I've seen the guy's movies and I worry that he will try too hard. Add (The) Brian Kendrick to the list of people who you wonder what in the world they did wrong to deserve the treatment they are receiving. Maybe he'll tag team next week with Chavo and they can both lose to Hornswoggle. Oh no, just spoiled next week's main event. Eh... anyway, the bright spot in the show was the mid-card. Get more of these guys involved every week and at least it'll be fresh. At this rate, I'd rather watch two hours of Abraham Washington than two hours of Raw.

Scott Lunn of Holly Springs, N.C. (2.0): Best Match: Six-Man Tag. Worst Match - Everything Else. I was lamenting the fact that I wasn't going to be able to go to this show due to a previous commitment all week long, but when I got home and fired up the DVR, that feeling went away quickly. This show was just pretty much awful from top to bottom. Two matches in the entire first hour and one of them was under two minutes and only served to bury Brian Kendrick for no real reason other than to give Lawler some shine as he runs for mayor. The ZZ Top segments were downright painful, yet predictable because that's all WWE has offered lately. The main event might have been decent if it were something new, but it was the exact same thing we saw last week. I love that Cena brought up the fact that the main event for the PPV on Sunday is huge because it headlined WrestleMania two years ago. The problem is, we've has some combination of those three on what feels like just about every pay-per-view since. I'm so glad I didn't spend my money to go see this live or I'd be even more dejected. Instead, my WWE watching habits continue to dwindle on a weekly basis.
