Terrie Neilson, of Las Vegas, Nev. (10.0): For once, I'm not going to put a Best or Worst because finally I saw a glimmer that at least one corporate wrestling entity has a sliver of care. All three matches were very good, and the Jericho promo video fit with the segue into the PPV card rundown. Christian vs. Regal added the element that Christian could win a match with something other than his finisher. That's something that doesn't happen very often. And Regal still seems amped up and motivated, most I have seen in a long time. But then again, when was the last time he got this much time? Bourne vs. Noble was a nice match, as should be expected. I do wish there would be more to Evan than "Air Bourne" since Cole and Lawler did remind us during the match of Noble's trailer-park character. The Jericho video emphasized what needed to be, though strangely I think it left out his record nine IC titles. I was in another room and may have missed it, though. Kane vs. Morrison was the "worst" of the three matches, but it was far from bad. The finish was reminiscent of Kane-Rey a while back, but that's a small quibble for once. With Morrison waiting out Punk-Hardy (I'm hoping that's the actual plan), Khali getting involved didn't bother me. Kane vs. Khali is still going to suck when it happens, but the TV crowd is digging the build, so I can't complain too awful much.
Craig Bursch of Duluth, Minn. (8.0): Best match: Morrison vs. Kane. Worst segment: Raw Rebound. This was a strong show. I truly enjoyed watching each of the three matches presented on this week's Superstars. Regal vs. Christian, Noble vs. Bourne, and Morrison vs. Kane were all fun matches to watch in their own right. I could have done without the Great Khali showing up at the end of the main event...maybe a "time limit draw" would have been a better ending to this one? I also could do without the "Raw Rebound" each week. I don't watch Raw for a reason, and I don't need to be reminded about it during the WWE shows that I do enjoy. Raw Rebound is just a "zip zip zip" fast forward for my DVR. Regardless, those two items are really nitpicking on an otherwise strong show.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (0.0): Can't give a Best or Worst for a goose-egg show. Back when Kurt Angle arrived in TNA in 2006, the January 2007 PWI magazine had the cover story "Sudden Impact: Can Kurt Angle Do For TNA What Hulk Hogan Did For WCW?" My knee-jerk response to that back then was "you mean run TNA into the ground?" Here it is three years later, and I can only imagine the follow-up headline were they to do something now. What was I watching? Taz right out of the gate acknowledged a ten-years-ago time warp. Never once in that promo was the injury angle mentioned that suggested that Taz had an opening to mold Joe. The rest of the show followed along the WCW playbook. TNA-MEM tries to show that the X Division is important, but just moments later, adds another layer of dirt. Hernandez no more than makes his return then there is a tease for the split of LAX. Someone forgot to do the math on how long Hernandez was gone; guess it felt like just yesterday to them. I was actually expecting Shark Boy to be part of the Booker/Steiner tag team match. That would have been an improvement on Rocco and Sally Boy. The minute I saw Traci Brooks, I knew something MEM was coming her way. But it feels like partnering with Roode all over again. Should have seen Eric's turn-counterturn coming, but he does fit into the "World Elite" faction. The new faction further buried what was once the somewhat mighty Frontline Originals. Any strong faces left? Hulk Hogan went from joining WCW to jumping ship in under seven years; Kurt is about halfway through the same term. Care to office pool on the exact date of TNA's demise? I have a buck if anyone's interested.
