WWE Raw Reax #1: "Promoting a movie more than your second biggest PPV of the year is ridiculous"

-- 8/3 WWE Raw Reax

Jason Pointer of Detroit, Mich. (7.0): Best: Big Show-Kofi and Piven's twist. Worst: Dr. Ken, "The Goods" promos. To promote a movie more than your second biggest PPV of the year is ridiculous. A bit disappointed that we got Jeremy Piven and not Ari Gold. With that being said, there were some rather surprising bright spots on Raw. Am I the only one who feels like this was Legacy's most credible win as a tag team against the immortal Triple H? It was great to see them pick up the win and Trips's promo afterward was pretty well done. The Big Show and Kofi match was pretty good as well and I was glad to see they kept the belt on Kofi. Jericho on commentary only helped the match. How does the WWE champion not wrestle on Raw two weeks in a row? How does one of your better mid-carders and better promo guys lose a "Loser Leaves Raw" match and it doesn't even get mentioned or talked about after the match? To say that this Raw is any better than the past months worth is quite a stretch. Few solid wrestling matches, but still doesn't show much hope it'll get better anytime soon.

Jim Multari, Torch reader: (0.0) Best Match: First Commercial Break. Worst Match: the worst opening segment in the history of Monday night wrestling including WCW Nitro. Here is the review of Raw: 14 minutes and 26 seconds of absolute crap. Who the heck is this Jeremy Piven? He is in horrible movies. Highest grossing R-rated comedy? That's like saying you're the best stock clerk at a grocery store. I don't know who is in charge of Raw, but my guess is Eugene's character. At least Smackdown and ECW have wrestling. I can't be brought to watch this show anymore. This is the worst thing I have seen since "Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia." I would rather watch Chris Masters's greatest matches. Wait, there are none. I haven't seen murder like that since I watched the first "Nightmare on Elm Street." This is the exact reason Raw is in the toilet. Needless to say I will continue to stay loyal to the Torch to find out if they have fired the creative team and hired some new idiots who can't write. I got a better idea. I watched wrestling from the mid-'80s until now and I am looking for work. Maybe WWE can give me a job since apparently they will hire anyone who can type, write, or hold a pencil. If I see the ad for "The Goods" one more time, I will need a new TV and I am taking donations.

We welcome your 0-10 score and comments on this show for a "WWE Raw Reax" feature in the Torch Feedback section of PWTorch.com.
