WWE Raw Reax #7: "I think I'm the only person over the age of 13 who thought the Horny-Chavo segment was kinda funny"

-- 8/3 WWE Raw Reax

Roberto Padilla of Denver, Colo. (-10.0): Best Match: there was wrestling? Worst: Dr. Ken and everything else. This had to be the worst episode of Raw since... two weeks ago when ZZ Top was guest hosting. Not only did Piven embarrass WWE and himself with the "Summer Fest" snafu, but he also had help making this show a crappy infomercial by having Dr. Ken. What was with all the skits and that damn pacifier? John Cena gets my vote as the second biggest kissass in the company behind Triple H. Every week we have Cena come out cut the same promo and try and book the show for the GM. Wasting our time with the fourth or fifth Chavo-Horny match just made me want Thursday to come so I can watch TNA. How can guys like MVP, Miz, Jack Swagger, and Carlito not get pushes in the main event, while Mark Henry, Big Show, and Triple Cena Orton hog the top spots. At least TNA has a tag team division, wrestling on the show, and their heel stables "win" matches. If TNA can book with common sense and develop some tweener babyfaces, or babyfaces who aren't stupid wimps, they can give WWE some serious competition.

Tyrone Dudley of Salem, VA. (4.5): Best: Rhodes/DiBiase vs. Triple H. Worst: Triple H's promo immediately after a loss. How do you expect to elevate up-and-comers after a huge win if Triple H cuts a clever and funny promo right after they beat him? This just shows how arrogant and egotistical Triple H is. I'm sorry but if two dudes beat the crap out of me, the last thing I'm going to do is rip on my former colleagues and downplay my opponents. Piven and Ken weren't bad. I think I'm the only person over the age of 13 who thought the Horny-Chavo segment was kinda funny. What the WWE is doing to The Miz is pretty ridiculous. He's been money on the mic, money in the ring, and he gets this kind of treatment. Kofi Kingston is a bright spot for me. His insane athleticism makes the Big Show look even stronger than normal. Jericho is my hero. The Colons need more respect from the brass. Same for Bourne and Swagger. I have a feeling this won't get any better. I didn't even mention Cena because that's how boring he is.

Adam Colgan of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland (1.0): Best: Smilin' Markswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero. Worst: Basically everything else. Jeremy Piven, I've never heard of you and I'm sure a lot of non-American WWE fans agree. Let's just call you Abraham Washington wannabe. The opening promo was the worst I think I've ever seen I would have rather had a Snoretista promo. I don't think I've ever been so happy to see The Miz. I agree with Miz - why should some guy who I've never heard of come on to a Wrestling Show to promote his stupid new film? Oh wait, wrestling. Sorry, see Smackdown, ECW, or even Superstars. Raw is just lame. Swagger vs. Bourne wasn't bad, just far too short. MV "I've got a criminal record" P came in to save Bourne afterwards. Seriously, WWE, I don't care for MVP's babyface antics or his sportsmanship. Carlito-Primo was a meh match (for lack of a better word). I'm wondering if it was better than Nikki vs. Brie 'cause it definitely was not better than Matt vs. Jeff, which couldn't hold a candle to Bret vs. Owen. Women's match was pretty good (compared to everything else). Legacy vs. Triple H was all right. Good to see Legacy get a "clean" win over Tripleachay. But I think it should have only required one finisher like the Dreamstreet. The post-match promo by Hunter was pretty terrible. He just got hit by two finishers and yet all he can come up with is "ouch." Then the fact that Shawn didn't properly return annoyed me as well. John Cena vs. Miz was all right. Don't know what's going to happen with this whole "loser leaves town" match, but I guess it built up Orton vs. Cena and made Chris Masters looked pretty good as well. Markswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero - wow, I can't believe I gave it best match. Smilin' Mark's babyface antics were pretty good after the match. I also thought Chavo was pretty hilarious when he called Piven's sidekick the dude from Heroes. On the whole, it was a terrible terrible night for wrestling. Jeremy "only Americans have heard of me" Piven and whoever that other guy is can go down as the worst guest hosts ever. Even worse than ZZ Top. At least their show featured the Brilliance of Santino. Roll on Sarge. At least he knows about wrestling!
