-- 8/13 WWE Superstars Reax

Craig Bursch of Duluth, Minn. (8.0): Best match: Sheamus vs. Goldust. Worst match (by default only): Raw mixed tag match. Another great hour of professional wrestling on Superstars this week. The John Morrison-D.H. Smith match was a load of fun to watch and highlighted the best aspects of both men. JR hit the nail on the head when he said that this could be a "WrestleMania level main event" someday down the road. I was surprised to be completely hooked into the Sheamus-Goldust match from start to finish. Sheamus is proving to be more than just a big "work in progress," as he is showing a wide array of holds and a good combination of athleticism and strength. Goldust's small package pin came off as a great finish to a competitive match. The best part however was the post-match reaction of Sheamus--he actually looked PO'd that he lost the match, which was a refreshing change of pace. I hope to watch these two go at it again as a good rivalry has been established here. ECW is the right home for both men as sadly, on Raw each would be treated as two-minute jobbers. The mixed tag match was what it was. It didn't add anything to the show but didn't detract from it either. So all in all, another solid showing on Superstars.

Adam Colgan of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland (8.5): Best: Sheamus vs. Goldust Worst: None. There wasn't a bad match on the card highlighted by a great John Morrison-D.H. Smith match. How many times have I said a great John Morrison match since his move to Smackdown? It was incredible the reception D.H. Smith and Natalya got. As much as I love John Morrison, I think Smith should've won by some form of cheating. I personally loved the Sheamus-Goldust match and Goldust being really over with the younger fans is pretty cool to watch. And thus I think this was the perfect ending to a surprisingly very good match as it gave Goldust credibility back and it made Sheamus look like a star. It was certainly a great back and forth battle and I was pleasantly surprised. The main event was very good as well. A great reception for two of my favorites, Mickie James and Kofi Kingston. These two definitely are stars and this match proved it. I wasn't too keen on Rosa Mendes being in this match. Personally, I would have preferred Beth Phoenix, but Carlito played a great heel in this match and the finish was very nice. This Carlito-Kofi feud could be promising if WWE give it time and a couple of pay-per-view matches.
