-- 8/16 TNA Hard Justice PPV Reax

Daniel Jackson of Albuquerque, N.M. (4.5): Best Match: Spotfest Opener. Worst Match: Hernandez vs. Big Rob. I'm not going to say anything over the top like "Never again!," but TNA isn't really doing a lot to make me want to pay for their shows. I watched it with some friends, and I have to believe we all looked like we were watching golf on TV rather than a wrestling show. For all the trouble they go through to make these stories as complex and senseless as they are, it sure makes for boring television. The undercard was completely forgettable. Some of the guys worked hard, but were often times handcuffed by the ludicrous stories they're being asked to play out. Nash vs. Foley the match seemed completely separated from the build. It felt like there were chapters missing where they went from "I'm in it for the money" vs. "I'm in it for the fans" to the blood and guts spectacle they had tonight. Main event fell flat with me because apparently, regardless of who is on top, they have to load each main event with a ref bump, phantom pins, and God knows what else. Sure, the in-ring action was largely better than last month. But, that doesn't mean I cared about any of it. It all rang hollow.

Arthur Newhook of Boston, Mass. (0.0): I'm calling for a boycott of this mean-spirited, immoral, and thoughtless company. Don't ask why I tortured myself by watching this rotten show at a friend's house - I'm not crazy enough to actually spend money on TNA - but I guess I was hoping TNA would do the next best thing short of firing Kurt Angle by stripping Angle of the championship. Or, maybe it was just morbid curiosity. It's never been clearer that this organization exists not to make a profit, but to soothe the egos of washed-up prima-donnas. According to the police report, Kurt Angle has shown himself to be a violent and degenerate drug user and abuser of women. We're going to have another Benoit tragedy on our hands if something is not done with this man soon. ... Nash vs. Foley was a pathetic and sad spectacle. Booker T still has some life left in him, but who really cares at this point? Samoa Joe's match was just okay. The rest of the card was utter crap. Only a small handful of their younger guys have any business in a wrestling ring, and they are treated as an afterthought. Do we really need a Randy Savage impersonator in the year 2009? Seriously, why does this organization continue to exist? They obviously don't care about making money, and they obviously do not give a damn what their customers think. In fact, it seems as though they are going out of their way to be as blatantly hateful toward their fanbase as possible. "Hard Justice" ought to have been called "Travesty of Justice."
