-- 8/16 TNA Hard Justice PPV Reax

Rex Lint, Torch reader (1.5): Best: Hernandez getting his case back. Worst: everything else. (1) X Division Asylum match - did anyone doubt that Daniels would win this one? ... (2) Abyss vs. Holliday - did anyone really expect to see Holliday win this? ... (3) Hernandez vs. Rob Terry -about time they gave Hernandez his case back from Ferry Terry. ... (4) British Invasion vs. Beer Money - why are the IWGP belts being defended in TNA and not in Japan where they belong? ... (5) Angelina Love vs. ODB - how does ODB still have a job let alone get a title shot and win the belt? ... (6) Homicide vs. Samoa Joe - isn't Joe a little bit too big to be fighting in the X Division let alone winning the title? ... (7) Steiner & Booker vs. Team 3D - why do Steiner and Booker T still have the tag belts? The tag division could mean something, but it doesn't if you have a tag team being a tag team for the sake of being a tag team and having them hold the titles. ... (8) Foley vs. Nash - was what it was. ... (9) Angle vs. Sting vs. Morgan - Angle is still the champ after getting arrested for drug possession and allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend. How is this possible? Granted, Sting is ready to hang them up and Morgan is nowhere near ready to be the champ, but that's why they should have thrown A.J. Styles into this match and made him the champ. It doesn't appear Dixie Carter has control of this company. She fires everyone and hires new people and we still have the same old crap every week and every PPV. She would do better to hire Paul Heyman and a blind squirrel to do the writing.

Derek Hamel of Tulsa, Okla.: I didn't watch this because I never watch TNA PPV's, however I'm going off Caldwell's match descriptions. I did think it was interesting that there was no mention of the wretched PPV that preceded this. This was WrestleMania 18 compared to Victory Road, apparently. As tough as it is to watch TNA's TV show sometimes, it feels like they literally do nothing right. However, it's good to see a few things lately. Matt Morgan is a beast and is slowly rounding into a half-decent guy. Vince McMahon has to be slobbering: an enormous, kind of clumsy tall man = World Title within six months of re-signing with WWE. Also Eric Young on the mike has been entertaining, and it was almost nostalgic reading about the blading during the Foley-Nash match. I think it was clever to allow Angle to keep the belt. Although this was probably the original plan, I'm sure most felt that with the arrest, Kurt, even if he's not suspended, would be out for a while dealing with his problems. This potentially sets up a TV title change, which would spice things up on Impact.
