-- 8/23 WWE Summerslam PPV Reax

C.J. Tuttle of Claremont, Calif., grocery clerk (10.0): Best match: Orton vs. Cena. Worst Match: Kane vs. Khali. Summerslam took me back to the days when you waited all week for Sunday when the PPV was on. It was that good. All the matches told a moving story in some sort of way and had ample time aside from Regal and Christian. But even that I'm excited about. Ezekiel's finisher looked amazing... Ziggler vs. Mysterio was so fluid and made Ziggler look really strong and I look forward to a re-match. The DX entrance came off to me and my friends as epic and had everyone up jumping. It felt like two of the biggest names were coming back and a reason to be excited. A guy in the house who hates wrestling nowadays but used to be a fan was so hyped that he kept watching the PPV. Orton vs. Cena was big and I was so ecstatic seeing Orton go over. Hardy and Punk was exactly what you'd expect from them. What can you say about that ending? Biggest PPV of the year and for a first time in a while, buying it makes you curious as to what's next. How bout WWE not wanting Tito seen onscreen? Loved that.

Nick Gifford of Warwick, R.I., Torch Reader. Best Match: Hardy-Punk. Worst Match: Cena-Orton. The 22nd annual Summerslam left a bad taste in my mouth. Really only two matches stand out as being anywhere near living up to the hype: Mysterio-Ziggler and Hardy-Punk. I was disappointed to see that WWE did not pull the trigger on a Dolph Ziggler IC Title reign...at least not yet. Maybe a Breaking Point? It's wonderful that the Intercontinental belt is regaining some of the prestige it had been missing for years. (It wasn't even defended at WrestleMania for seven years.) The title has changed hands more times in the past six months than it has in the last few years seemingly. Didn't expect MVP to go over Swagger, so a nice surprise. Khali-Kane...pass. DX beat Legacy, no surprise there. It was pretty obvious with the triumphant entrance Shawn and Hunter made. Did someone say MAIN EVENT CRISIS? Freddie Prinze, Jr. seemed a little more in his element and "Hollywood" at this event. They need William Regal, Koslov, and Ahmed---I mean, Ezekiel Jackson -- in some type of international wrestlers stable. I realize Jackson is American, of course, but they need a name...too bad "World Elite" is taken. Christian won in five seconds. I really thought this match would have gone on earlier. Why so short? Did Kane and Khali go too long? Cena and Orton...wow, words can't describe how bad it was. How many false finishes? 3? 4? And how about Lillian taking us back to her first night as an announcer by making horrible mistakes, such as announcing Randy Orton as the winner and NEW champion after he lost by DQ. It's all over for her after Raw on Monday, but it would be hilarious, if in an ironic twist, Vince fired her for botching what was a simple message. Punk-Hardy was a good effort. I cringed at the suplex by Punk to Hardy on the ladder. Yes, The Undertaker is back, folks, but where is Jeff Hardy?
