A.A. Norman of Tulsa, Okla. (8.0): Best: Jerishow vs. Mayweather; Worst: Extended opening segment. I've been less enthusiastic about watching wrestling recently than I have been the past few years and it has a lot to do with the stale acts at the top returning for each and every PPV and the lack of new talent getting the chance to shine. For that reason, I applaud the efforts of Jericho and Big Show (and I applaud their new entrance remix - vastly improved over last week's show!) to get younger talent the chance to work with main event alumni like them. Plus, their current act is just great television. It's about time Floyd Mayweather came back to face Big Show... think a rematch can be arranged after Monday's big PPV bout?
Adam Riemer of New York, N.Y. (n/a): Best: Jericho/Show all together. Worst: The logic of Monday Night Raw. This had to be the longest, most drawn out and pointless intro in the history of professional wrestling. Something that had even a little promise was squashed in a heart beat by this pointless birthday celebration. What a waste of time. The show just doesn't have any logic. Mayweather was the guest host, so why wasn't he there on time? You would think the Host of the show would have to probably be the first one there! Evan Bourne vs. Chavo would probably be an excellent program with excellent matches if it was built around a serious feud, not because Chavo is attacking a midget. Both are so talented and yet both are horribly wasted. The new theme of Jericho and Show is great, and I say it's great because compared to the first one ... heck, Rob Conway's theme could even be considered great. I love the interaction that Show and Jericho have with everyone and anyone. Sure we could argue that a younger star should have been Jericho's partner, but Big Show is really starting to shine in this role. He almost looks like he is enjoying wrestling again. I have no real gripe with MVP and Henry being a team. I have no gripe with them getting a title shot. When you only build up one real tag team in WWE (Cryme Tyme) and you treat all the others as stables that shouldn't care about the tag titles (the Hart Dynasty, Legacy, Regal's Boys, DX) you can't really do anything about it. It looks like Jericho and Show are going to have monthly programs where they take on (and I assume) beat every team that comes there way. Jericho's programs last a long time, and I am fine with that because as long as they are champions then the tag titles actually mean something. We all know that as soon as they lose them, once again the titles will drift off into oblivion on Raw. No Swagger, no Kofi, and Santino getting squashed to a very generic heel in Miz…what a waste. I think Gail Kim is a lot like Johan Santana these days in the fact that both are probably regretting going to the "bigger and better team." My real problem came in the main event, wasn't this no DQ? I was expecting a swerve, or at least Brett getting involved and not listening to Randy Orton to leave the match alone. Considering the most likely scenario of DX and Cena teaming up to take on Legacy every week starting next Monday, I can see why they didn't want to have that match tonight, but Vince McMahon had no right being in a main event landing blows on Cody Rhodes. Also, what is with the McMahon "heel" finish? He struts and makes the pin, boy does this remind me of his feud with Austin when he was the biggest heel in all of wrestling. You know DX is being touted like they haven't been together since 1998, but since they were teaming up like a year ago, it doesn't make this special at all. Finally, Cena coming out was the most predictable thing on earth. There were certain aspects of this show that just screamed deja vu from the glory years. It's too bad the product as a whole isn't nearly as good as it was back then.
