Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (9.0): Best: Swagger vs. MVP. Worst: lack of ECW. This was one of those "as usual" shows: good in and of itself, though not doing much in terms of the PPV coming up. The Ziggler-Finlay match was one of the better ones for these two. Not much of a reason was given for these two to be matched up, though. Without Ziggler, John Morrison is duking it out with random opponents. Without Morrison, Ziggler seems in limbo. Not a good place for either to be. Yang and the former Jesse got an awful lot of offense going against the Hart Dynasty considering neither has gotten much TV time of late. The good about that is that J showed a lot of improvement over previous outings. The bad about that is not a word was said about Slam Master J being the former Jesse, only that he was hanging with Cryme Tyme. So much for some depth to the Luke Gallows character. The Orton and Raw Rebound videos were the usual fare, so nothing spectacular to add. Swagger and MVP turned in another decent match, this time one worthy of actually being called a match. I really question why Swagger needed to prove he had no lisp when he can't get around it for a prolonged period. I'm guessing that the lisp is being treated as a mistake he won't acknowledge? For ECW, there could have been another match to further introduce Barretta and Croft (who need some help getting past the dead responses they're getting). There could have been a segment toward the ladder match (video or promo). If not a video, then maybe something to build future opponents after the TLC PPV. Or, since the PPV is tied to the Smackdown vs. Raw video game, why not tease the Christian vs. Shelton ladder match that way? Just because a match can sell itself on PPV day doesn't mean that it doesn't need love going into it.

Steven, Torch reader (-1.0): I'm a TNA fan, but last night, I gave up. Impact was the worst wrestling show that I've seen in years. Is this the same wrestling company that Hogan said would do a 3.0 rating up against Raw? Maybe a 0.3 is what he meant. The Scott Steiner/Kong vs. Lashley/Krystal match left Lashley looking like a tool. Eric Young vs. Hamada, what? Garbage match. Garbage finish. Eric Young desperately needs a makeover or a new job. ODB and Tara? Garbage. It was two women wrestling when they're drinking. Thanks, Russo. The four vs. three match Team 3D, Rhino, and Jesse Neal vs. Morgan, Hernandez, and Suicide was garbage again. Jesse "Mohawk" Neal beating Hernandez was what stunned me. Dump Hernandez in the garbage too after this trashing. I thought TNA was supposed to push Hernandez as a legit contender to the belt? Maybe after this finish, he should pick up a broom and sweep the garbage out of the ring. Knockouts Mud Wrestling Match? Write the Knockouts off too. They're done. The Knockouts were all over this show because they're the only ones who draw a rating, but now with the Knockouts doing silly stuff like the Divas do, their appeal will be lessened. I used to watch TNA just for the girls, but the only thing missing last night was a funeral because Russo killed them. The mud match was embarrassing. I've seen better mud wrestling matches in bars. A.J. Styles vs. Desmond Wolfe, why? And what was this highest bidder stuff? Now you can bid your way into a title match? Not only was the show garbage, but the reasoning behind it was totally absent. Then, Wolfe lost. The match got no hype, no nothing. It was just a title match thrown out on TV for no reason other than the wrestlers could bid on the match. Frustrating show. Bad show. If this is what TNA is going to bring to Monday nights, they will get killed.
