-- 12/17 TNA Impact Reax

Alex Mobley of Louisville, Ky. (6.0): Best Match: Wolfe-Daniels. Worst: Taz. This TNA Impact wasn't as bad as last week, but some parts were still pretty bad. I'm still confused as to why Jeff Jarrett has to apologize to get back into his company if he owns part of it. I mean if he's the founder, he's an owner, right? The Wolfe-Daniels match was great and made this show. They will make great main-eventers one day. I have to say that as bad as Michael Cole is, just imagine if he didn't have Vince McMahon yelling instructions in his ear. That's exactly what Taz has become. He seems like he still needs to have Vince in his ear because he was awful. I don't understand what WWE and TNA are doing by only showing their champions ten minutes per show. I have to say if WWE pulls the "Bret Hart" card, then sorry Hulk, I'm going with WWE. Hogan is great, but if I have to watch one of TNA's younger stars getting crushed by 50-year-old men, then I'll pass. Speaking of The Hulk, what was with Lou Ferrigno? The skit with Mick Foley was about as funny as DX and Hornswoggle. But much better performance, overall, TNA.

Matthew Johns of Indianapolis, Ind. (2.0): Best match: Wolfe vs. Daniels. Worst match: Lumberjack match. Most awkward: Jarrett-Carter. Ugh, another bad show. After last week's abortion, last night was better, but not by much. Nothing made sense, but worse yet, nobody stood out. Desmond Wolfe went from being the breakout star six weeks ago to just another guy. Wolfe and Daniels ended in a time limit draw, but when did Impact start having time limits? ODB lost to Roxie, huh? ODB has a title defense at the PPV and she loses? The show-long soap opera with Jarrett, Carter, and Foley made sense only to those hardcore fans who know the story. It's weird. I was watching with a friend who had no idea what they were talking about and he watches the show regularly. The rest of the show was meaningless drivel with an eight-man tag lumberjack match that served no purpose and a ten-man tag for a total of 18 wrestlers. Nobody stood out and nobody advanced. Why does TNA have so many multi-performer matches? Abyss is completely stale. Raven has already worn out his welcome. TNA is the only promotion that so many wrestlers suddenly go from being potential stars to meaning nothing like Morgan, Hernandez, and Dinero. Jesse Neal is getting more emphasis right now. Lethal losing to Tatanka? Another big, "huh?" Didn't Lethal pin Kurt Angle once and now he's losing to 50-year-old guys? What happened to the big youth movement that TNA was going through? TNA's champion, A.J. Styles, didn't even appear until the last ten minutes and he was covered up in a ten-man tag with no hype that was given five minutes of TV time. Putting the TNA World Champion in ten-man tag match makes TNA and A.J. look bush league, especially headed into a PPV. Another big mess. I hope Hogan can straighten out this ship before it sinks.
