QUESTION OF THE DAY Reax #5: Torch reader Christmas Wish Lists - Paul Heyman back in business, TNA evaluated from top to bottom, New Four Horsemen, Return of Mr. Ken Anderson

Dec 27, 2009 - 3:33:55 PM
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO BOOKMARK US & VISIT US DAILY

Friday's "Torch Reader Question of the Day" was a Christmas Wish List for 2010 in pro wrestling. The following is our third batch of Wish Lists. You can submit your Wish List to pwtorch@gmail.com.

-- Martin Butler, Torch reader

(1) Just one wish: that Paul Heyman would start another promotion.

-- Dre, Torch reader and TNA wish list extraordinaire

(1) Kevin Nash, Taz, and Tony Schiavone in the Broadcast Booth.

(2) Ric Flair to bring back the Four Horsemen: James Storm, Robert Roode, Ken Anderson, and Tomko.

(3) TNA Title (Styles), TNA TV Title (Samoa Joe), TNA Knockouts Title (Flash), TNA Tag Team Titles (MCMG), and TNA X Division Title (D'Angelo Dinero).

(4) A weight class definition for the X Division.

(5) Impact to Mondays.

(6) TNA TV Title always defended.

(7) Second TNA show focusing on X Division on Thursdays.

(8) Six PPVs a year bi-monthly and a big one in December to set up next year's storylines.

(9) No World Elite, no Team 3D, no Suicide, and no Black Machismo.

(10) Three Additional Stables including Homicide, Hernandez, Sarita, and Tyler Black and another stable - Raven, Kaz, Jesse Neal, and John Hugger.

(11) TNA signs RVD, Tyler Black, Basham Brothers, Kenny Dykstra, Michael Brendli, Brian Myers, and Chad Collyer.

(12) Settle on one on-air authority figure - Hogan, Russo, Carter, ANYONE.

(13) More of a sports presentation (individual wrestler logos, graphics with Ht. and Weight, Hometown, Finisher, and rank), interviews after the match on the ramp, rankings for each belt available on the line and talked about (yearly Win/Loss records each year).

(14) Main Event announced on the previous show, multi-PPV storylines, leak fake stories to the Internet (we want to be surprised).

-- Andrew S. of New York City

MichaelsShawnArt_130GG_7_10.jpg
(1) To see Bret Hart involved with Shawn Michaels rather than Vince McMahon.

(2) The return of Ken Anderson to a televised wrestling show.

(3) Motor City Machineguns getting more roster time in lieu of Abyss and Dr. Stevie.

(4) Kevin Nash replacing Taz as color man on Impact. Why this hasn't happened yet is beyond me.

(5) A follow-up on the Carlito promo pitting the locker room against Cena
(and later Orton and Triple H).

(6) Seeing the last of the Big Show, Mark Henry, Kane, Chavo, Hornswoggle, Team 3D, Jesse Neal, non-wresting personality guest hosts, Jay Lethal's gimmick, most WWE divas, and Vickie Guerrero on TV.

DanielsonBryanPose_130WK_1.jpg
(7) Bryan Danielson not to be confined to mid-card purgatory. Not terribly optimistic on this one.

-- Evey Trew, Torch reader

(1) Find a way to bring back Jeff Hardy.

(2) ECW absorbed by Smackdown and Raw. The rosters are too thin and the shows are fairly predictable.

(3) As a long-time fan, I miss blood. I understand the risk of blood-borne illness, but it sure would be nice every once in a while. It would go a long way towards selling injuries or hot rivalries.

(4) Sheamus as champ for the entire year? No, I don't think so. The man lacks charisma. I would rather see it go back to Randy Orton than stay with Sheamus. Actually I would prefer to see it change hands a few times, maybe on PPV once in a while. Some of us are not sure we can keep paying our cable bill, never mind paying for PPV.

(5) Find a way to bring back Jeff Hardy.

(6) Make Hornswoggle go away! Talk about wasted air time! At the very least bring in a few other wrestlers of his stature (not sure what the PC word is these days) and give him some legitimate matches.

(7) I sure would like to see Legacy split up and one of those boys turn into a babyface star.

(8) Find a way to bring back Jeff Hardy.
