Matthew Robins of Chicago, Ill. (7.0): Best: "Judas Kiffin" sign. Worst: Cole/Lawler. You know why The Undertaker is cool? He wears his title (around his waist), he uses more black dye in his hair than the Raiders use for their endzones, and he is the only person, besides Linda, that Vince seems to be afraid of. Taker also delivered two kickass promos in the same segment. Too bad the fans had no clue who to cheer for. This was a quality episode. We got to see lots of superstars, a few mid-card feuds developing, a Triple H at the end that we have been missing for over a year and the guest hosts exceeding my horribly low expectations. I really liked the continuation of Miz and MVP from last week. I'm glad they are not meeting up for the U.S. Title until at least after the Royal Rumble. I swear, The Miz wore that t-shirt on the Real World. Back to the Rumble (my favorite PPV), it's always smart to have some individual feuds between the 30 superstars, and I am seeing that in the past two episodes of Raw. This reminds me of the early '90s when storylines lasted more than three weeks and weren't just for the top draws. At this point, I have no clue who will win it, and the unpredictability is a great thing for fans. And how about that Divas match?! An actual storyline, with flashback, and something to be interested in before these four meet in their semi-final matches. Too bad the match sucked, the crowd was dead, and that Eve can't even hit a dropkick. ... DX must know they are just a circus act at this point. They have a little person who speaks his own language and there is no tag team on Raw to challenge them. Above all, they are constantly involved with the guest hosts, who do nothing for the actual "sports" part of "sports entertainment."
Justin James of Columbia, S.C., IT professional/author (2.0): Best Match: Cena/Kingston vs. Legacy. Worst Match: DX/Hornswoggle vs. Miz/Big Show/The Flame. What an incredibly awful episode of Raw. Nothing worked about this. Don Johnson clearly looked uncomfortable. The only match worth my time was Cena/Kingston vs. Legacy, which was actually well-done and brought a lot of heat back to Kofi Kingston. I wonder if Randy Orton having to face off with Masters was punishment for his temper tantrum last week. The backstage segments (other than Johnson wooing Kelly Kelly) were a trainwreck. Another Legacy break-up tease, another DX breakup tease, who cares? I thought Taker had a boring, growling promo. Big Show looks like he could barely walk after the match. Swagger was even further buried, along with Evan Bourne. A year ago, he was one of the top heels in the company and Bourne had enough fanfare to take him to the top. Sheamus still isn't getting over with the crowd, and it isn't his fault because he's getting the A.J. Styles treatment. DX continues to bore me to tears. Maryse proved, once again, that she has amazing charisma. I loved her posing on the apron, as it actually took away from the match, but it was so in-character for her. I'm cringing at the thought of a Miz/Big Show pairing; Big Show needs to take some time off to heal up. The most telling thing about this episode was my wife's reaction. We have tickets to the ECW/Smackdown taping tomorrow, and she's grateful that we won't be seeing Raw because she says that it would be boring just seeing a bunch of skits. The crowd was mildly hot at the beginning and totally dead by the end, and I can't blame them.
