-- 2/11 TNA Impact Reax

Patrick Michael of Rochester, N.Y. (6.5): This was a show that screamed "very solid" from the beginning to the end with several matches that were good, but not great, and a slower pace to the booking. Other than a few problems, this was one of the better TNA Impacts as of late. The most glaring problem was that TNA had D'Angelo Dinero pin the heavyweight champion last week, then have him open the show this week with a competitive match against Orlando Jordan. The second biggest issue was that the last two segments of the show were beat downs. They should have ended the show with the A.J. Styles & Ric Flair beat down on Samoa Joe to really build up Joe as the underdog babyface instead of the worn out Waltman and Hall angle that seems to be floundering with no real heat.

Thomas Starr of Orlando, Fla., Massage Therapist (2.0): Last week, I gave TNA a chance and it was not a bad show. This week, I tuned back in and I was disappointed. It wasn't awful. It's just that a few days before a PPV, they ended the show with an angle that over the course of a month made no sense and ultimately went nowhere. I mean what happens now, Hall and Pac show up for revenge? Who cares? And someone please tell me they weren't brought in just to get Hogan over as a babyface? Ridiculous. The only reason to even bring them in at all was for whatever name value they have left to ultimately use them to put over some of the lesser-known wrestlers. To use them to get over Hogan is pointless. The whole Nash/Hogan/Hall/Angle/Pac storyline was pointless. The rest of the show was okay, but there just aren't any feuds to sink your teeth into. Joe-Styles we've seen before and it was just rushed out there. Joe was just a heel. Styles was just a babyface. Not enough has been done to get either one over in their new personas. Plus TNA's "Beyond the Bell" did more to get their match over than TNA has done on TV. Such a waste of an awesome promotional tool. Where are they going with The Pope? Or Mr. Anderson? An Anderson-Angle feud over the long-term would be fun, but something tells me their "situation" gets blown off at the PPV. So what next? Hopefully the constant heel/face turns stop and we get settled in and have some feuds between wrestlers who are not 50-years-old. You know, a feud between two people who can pay it off with an actual match. I'm not getting my hopes up.
