Chad Campbell of Atlanta, Ga. (8.0): Best Match: Eight-man Pros tag. Worst Match: Battle Royal. Last week was a low point for NXT so far with uninspiring matches and not much in the way of explaining the Pros Poll. This week rebounded with one of NXT's best shows so far and gave the insight into the competition that has been lacking since the inception of the show. The Pros Poll reveal was very well done and I think it was pretty accurate of how the competitors would be ranked if it was indeed a real competition. I appreciated the requirements being acknowledged, which justifies why Daniel Bryan has a case for being in the top echelon of the competition. The Pros eight-man tag had good action throughout, but was carried by the commentary team of Jericho, Cole, and Matthews. Hearing announcers just speak what comes to their minds in WWE is so refreshing and reminded me of Matt Striker when he first started. Wade Barrett getting the win was critical in advancing his status. The battle royal was quick and inoffensive and was a good showcase for Otunga, who should advance in the rankings. NXT using this format made the show seem fresh again and it really did have a unique feel.

Richard H Wilmington, Ohio: Why do we care about this show? The only highlights were Wade Barrett being used in the "Pros" tag match and Daniel(son) being ranked first on the "criteria." One thing I do agree with from Daniel is Otunga not being able to wrestle. What he can do is self-promote and use outside connections to puff himself up and cover up his lack of actual ability in the ring, but Hulk Hogan did make a career out of that. He was enhanced as a heel, though, since he didn't out-wrestle his final opponent in the battle royal, Justin Gabriel, and only won because he was just too big for the smaller Gabriel to push over the top rope. As for the rankings, they seemed fairly spot on. Young and Tarver 0.0 have not impressed at all, Sheffield is a one trick pony, Slater has not beaten anyone of note, Gabriel is showing promise for a cruiserweight, Otunga thinks he already knows all he needs to know, Barrett is a veritable diamond in the rough, and Daniel is only going to get better, especially when he gets to stretch out The Miz on a not-too-distant PPV. Since nothing more interesting is in this timeslot right now, I will give it more time to see what develops.
