Bill Sartori of Windsor Locks, Conn. (2.5): "Wind," "rainbows," and "passion." Is this a wrestling program or an Oxford debate? No wonder Syfy is looking to dump this show. The matches were decent, but it took more than half-an-hour to air one. The Cole-Matthews banter is become more and more annoying. TNA is wrestling paradise compared to this shtick.
P. Cali of Hoover, Ala. (7.5): Best: WWE’s attempt at giving the competitors a break-out moment. Worst: The Rookies's blown opportunity to have their break-out moment. Thank you, WWE, for giving us an honest competition for the past couple of weeks now that the games have officially begun. Each guy has an actual chance of winning each competition each week and that is reason enough to tune in every Tuesday night. But, if there were a reason NOT to tune in each Tuesday night, it would be because 60 percent of the competitors don't seem to be trying to win, 20 percent don't know how to win, and only 20 percent actually want to win, as evidenced last night. Wade Barrett and David Otunga WANT to be the next break-out stars and with another couple of months seasoning, they should become pleasant additions to the permanent roster.

John of Cocoa Beach, Fla. (6.5 Raw & 5.0 TNA): Best Match: Orton vs. Batista. Worst Match: Baywatch babes match and Team 3D vs. Wolfpack. Sitting through a combined four hours of wrestling action, I want to offer my advice to TNA booking: it's okay for the faces to have momentum going into a PPV. All the booking going into Lockdown favored the heels - Team Flair member Sting's beat down of Jeff Jarrett, the "burning" of Jeff Hardy, Abyss getting "run over," and The Wolfpack getting the last word thanks to Bubba the Love Sponge just to name a few. Douglas Williams's hilarious commentary criticizing the X Division's use of the top rope brought back memories of the Bill Watts WCW era. ... I was disappointed with the TNA "pre-game" show. I didn't need to see Mr. Anderson and Kurt Angle's storyline again. Or A.J. Styles and Ric Flair plotting against the Pope. TNA did a fair job building up Lockdown and I'm guessing there may be a few changes in the Team Hogan lineup. The way Matt Morgan carries the TNA tag team titles made me wonder if he's copying Big Show?
Raw gave us some good wrestling action from Randy Orton, Evan Bourne, and Kofi Kingston, who looked good against Sheamus despite getting beat down in the end, and it elevated both wrestlers and continued to built heat for Sheamus before his match with Triple H at Extreme Rules. ... Eve Torres beating Maryse was a little soon, but she worked hard on her skills when she was on Smackdown. Give The Miz credit for developing into an obnoxious arrogant heel who can stand on his own. Batista is firmly entrenched as a heel, yet it just seemed odd to see him wrestling Randy Orton and getting booed after all Orton and Legacy did to him as a face. Hearing the fans cheering Orton when he went to punt Batista made me think fans have short memories. Orton was reviled when he also punted Mr. McMahon, Triple H, Dusty Rhodes, John Cena's father, and hit Stephanie with the RKO. But I find the "new" Orton fun to watch, especially with his facials and fist-pounding into the mat as he readies to unleash the RKO. David Otunga is making a strong case to be the NXT winner and his work with Batista has a lot of potential in the future as a part of a heel stable with Batista as captain, and maybe Michael Tarver and Wade Barrett from NXT joining them. Carlito is either headed for Smackdown, Superstars, or the land of future endeavors. ... Jack Swagger attacking Randy Orton and John Cena making Batista tap-out was decent booking heading to next week's lead-in show for Extreme Rules. The Baywatch babes match was comedic relief, but a little pervy if you ask me, especially the way the Hoff was watching it along with Jerry Lawler's commentary. Let's hope TNA and Hulk Hogan won't attempt to copy it next week with a "Thunder in Paradise" Knockouts match.

Troy Smith of Peoria, Ill. (4.0): Best Match: Kaz vs. Shannon Moore. Worst Match: Team 3D vs. The Band. I think TNA could be so good, but they keep relying on has-beens. Watching The Band was like watching the Super Bowl halftime show with The Who. I do like seeing Ric Flair in a wheelchair, though. WWE has older wrestlers like Bret Hart from time to time, but they feature them in small doses, which is cool. TNA has a lot of good, young talent that they need to bring to the forefront. Why in the world do they have arguably the most popular wrestler in all wrestling, Jeff Hardy, seem like a mid-carder at best, though? I know the legal troubles, but man, utilize this guy if you are going to have him. A.J. Styles is very good, but he reminds me of Jerry Lawler's son, Brian Christopher. Finally, I was hoping to get better, more consistent wrestling from TNA, but it seems like we're back to the bad days in WCW.
