-- 4/26 WWE Raw Reax
Aaron of Keizer, Ore. (8.5): Best: Hart Dynasty-ShoMiz Worst: Hornswoggle-Ziggler. A very enjoyable episode of Raw highlighted by *gasp* actual wrestling matches. I can say that other than Dolph Ziggler getting the Hornswoggle treatment, I enjoyed every match. Even the Divas match was watchable. Hart Dynasty must be thanking their lucky stars Bret decided to come back and give them some rub. They're over as faces and I think ShoMiz dropping the titles was good for everyone involved. Focusing on the Draft, WWE definitely reinforced that Smackdown is the 'B' show, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Kofi and Christian probably benefitted the most with their move to Smackdown. Kofi's move is a great way to re-establish him as a top face after his push fizzled out last year. With Taker's expected time off, Christian becomes one of the top babyfaces with Rey Mysterio and puts him right into the main event picture. With the departure of Edge and Jericho to Raw, I expect Jack Swagger's title reign to last a while given that they need to establish him as a solid main-eventer to help carry Smackdown. Edge and Jericho coming to Raw makes for a very intriguing main event picture, but I fear that upper mid-card guys that are ready to break through to the main event picture like John Morrison, R-Truth, The Miz, DiBiase, etc., will be forgotten. Let's hope the new top-heavy Raw doesn't keep the mid-card down.
-- 4/26 Raw & Impact Reax
Richard H. of Wilmington, Ohio (7.5 for both): I thought the Draft was over-hyped and disappointing, while Impact did not grab my attention and hold it like last week. The best match was the Raw main event with no faces involved and the surprise twist of Edge spearing Orton. I guess he won't be a face now, will he? The biggest surprise was the phantom guest host (John Cena) not installing himself as special guest referee for the #1 contender's match. Cena could have played it so many ways and annoyed so many of his anti-fans and opponents. The worst match was the botch job of a battle royal with Santino and his tired comedy act. And while WWE is doing roster manipulation, how about picking up Awesome Kong now that the WWE has jettisoned some dead-weight payroll? She could have a great run against the Beautiful Peop...er...Lay-Cool and Vickie Guerrero.
-- 4/26 TNA Impact Reax
Greg of Bay Area, Calif. (5.0): Best: Opening segment & Anderson-Pope. Worst: Abyss-Flair. How can something that started so well end so poorly? Coming off last week's show, I was very excited for this week's episode. After the first half-hour, I thought they were well on their way to another great show. Then, Jesse Neal happened, Team 3D and The Band happened, and Abyss and WWE Hall of Fame rings happened. I don't get why any of these guys are getting any air time. It still boggles my mind that TNA has a major angle revolving around WWE HOF rings. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and now they are going to give the magic powers of Flair's ring to someone else next week? Wow, I can't wait for that. The main event was a disaster and I really can't take anymore Abyss. Like Steve Austin said about Hulk Hogan, when I see Abyss, I grab the remote. Seeing Flair bleed just doesn't faze me anymore. ... The show did have its positives. A.J. Styles is really coming into his own on the mic, the Pope-Anderson feud should be promo gold, TNA seems motivated to make the World Title meaningful, and while the announcement of the ranking system was a let down on the show, it's still an intriguing idea.
