-- 6/28 WWE Raw Reax

David Miller of Terre Haute, Ind. (7.0): Best Match: Eight-man tag. Worst Match: Sheamus vs. Mark Henry. I liked the opening confrontation between Cena and Sheamus. I particularly like how Sheamus comes close to doing something un-heelish, then reverts to being a heel. I could have done without Cena's over-acting. There's a dynamic between the Hart Dynasty and the Usos that reminds me of the tag team glory days of old. Let's hope their feud is the start of new life being breathed into the tag team division. Kozlov vs. Santino was short, but served its purpose in continuing the storyline that Kozlov kinda likes Santino. Rob Zombie was good in his short role tonight and it was nice seeing Edge address their history with his former entrance theme. Sheamus vs. "The World's Strongest Jobber" Mark Henry was just awful. Besides being sloppily-executed, I can't see Sheamus defeating him as easily as he did. Henry isn't the greatest wrestler in the world, but he's a freaking moose and shouldn't be dealt with so handily. ... Although I saw the angle coming the minute I saw Jerry Lawler in the ring, I enjoyed the segment involving Nexus beating down the Legends. They gave the Legends enough respect to let them speak and get a little offense in (they're not helpless old men, after all), then they singled out Steamboat. Kudos to WWE for explaining why nobody came out to help. It was a solid explanation that made sense. There were only a few things about the angle I didn't like, but they're small things. First, it's sad that Double A can't mention Ric Flair's name. Second, Nexus is a stupid name. It sounds like a Japanese car. Third, what kind of business could Wade Barrett be conducting at WWE headquarters at 10 p.m.? Anyways, it was a very good angle otherwise. Then, there was the obligatory cookie-cutter Divas tag match featuring four indistinguishable pretty girls with long hair, tan bodies, and glittery ring outfits. It's so sad to see how Gail Kim is simply blending into the background these days. The main event was good, but nothing to write home about. The Rookies stole the show again tonight with their beat down and added a couple of points to a show I normally would have given a 5.0. I believe it's a fantastic angle so far and I'm anxious to see where they're going with the "anonymous" GM storyline.

Blade of Rutland, Vt., radio personality (8.0): Best: continued push of Nexus. Worst: nothing I could say was overly bad. I'm starting to hate Nexus - in a good way. They are being portrayed as arrogant youths and they are all fitting into that role. Over the past few weeks, some of these guys have started to develop their personalities, primarily Sheffield, Gabriel, and Slater. Their beat down on the Legends was well played-out, I thought. Kudos to whoever is directing Michael Cole for keeping silent during the whole scenario; the silence makes it seem even more of a heinous act. Speaking of Michael Cole, he is receiving an extraordinary amount of heat. The more I watch him, the more I would love for him to be either the "anonymous" GM or a mouthpiece for Nexus.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (6.0): Best: main event Worst: Cena opening segment; Henry getting squashed (again). The Money in the Bank PPV settles one issue of overcrowding one big match by also keeping with the brand split. I can go with that. If the WrestleMania match stays the same allowing the winner to choose the brand to challenge for the top title, I can go with that, too. Why is Khali still getting TV time? Singh clearly went heel in the promo, but I don't care. What was the point of Rob Zombie? His only guest host duty was announcing the MITB contenders and briefly chatting with Edge over the change of his entrance music. Edge has had his current theme for about five years now, so this segment fell with a thud. Zombie should have come out to the previous theme to remind people of what it was. ... I'm all for Sheamus getting strong wins toward his next title defense, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around Mark Henry being on the list to put Sheamus over in a short squash. I can deal with Henry putting Sheamus over in a longer match. Talk about a burial. ... The eight-man tag match gave plenty of time to everyone involved. Randy was well protected (for his shoulder) being the super-hot tag going right to the finish. I suspect that yet again Randy and Edge will cancel themselves out in MITB to continue their feud. Evan Bourne will get Rey Mysterio treatment should he win. The rest of the group have plenty to gain by a MITB win.
