-- 9/22 Question of the Day Reax: Who is your pick as the Raw GM at this point?

Jonathan Gold, Torch reader: This angle (and WWE in general) has been raising my blood pressure for a while now. Briefly, I think this is the worst plot device WWE has stumbled on yet in their desperate attempts to entertain, which is saying something. There is zero real intrigue over who the GM is, and WWE does not deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to concluding this storyline in a way that's satisfying to it's viewers. The last mystery GM announcement I can recall was Mike Adamle. Anyone who can find "intrigue" in this story is trying way too hard, and is kidding themselves if they think WWE has any concrete plans for the mystery GM. The only reason to watch is to see exactly how big of a disaster it turns out to be. And that's no fun. So, my vote is for Mike Adamle; he's the one who's been taping those pieces of paper to that laptop.

Josh Tuttle of Denver, Colo.: I couldn't help but notice a few weeks back that Joey Styles's name came up on a Raw segment regarding some related info on WWE's website. Unfortunately, the topic in question wasn't exciting enough for me to recall, but I do remember Michael Cole making the snarky remark, "He still works here?" It was that one bit of commentary that dangled a new carrot before my eyes as to who the "Anonymous GM" is. With Michael Cole making a turn towards heel-town, and the fact Styles had been very vocal in the past about how he disliked the current WWE commentary team, it adds a certain intrigue as to the motives for making Cole be the lapdog that has to get up and read every e-mail he's sent. Even the fact that the anonymous GM delivers his statements through e-mail points to the man who is currently running WWE's website.

Alvin Hussey of England: I think Michael Cole would be awesome. But I'm going to try something a bit left field: what if the Raw GM is Cena's dad? It would explain the GM's inconsistencies and Nexus's focus on John Cena. Perhaps he felt Cena wasn't living up to his full potential making money but not making a true legacy and getting beat up all the time (e.g. Batista before WrestleMania). Imagine when Cena is about to go 100 percent heel and this is revealed; it could make for some decent TV.

Pablo of Mexico (7.5): Best: C.M. Punk. Worst: Chairs challenge. Punk made NXT a memorable episode to mark the beginning of the Punk era on NXT. I haven't laughed at something so much in WWE since maybe last year with DX. Punk's top quote had to be while Kaitlyn was imagining everyone wearing underwear and he proclaimed, "I'm not wearing pants right now and that's how I watch NXT every week." I picture him trying to recruit some Divas to the Straight Edge lifestyle eventually. The storyline with Goldust and Aksana (soon to be deported, apparently) needs more hype if they want to make that an interesting storyline on NXT. The rest of the program was so lame.
